this guy looks pretty good running the ball and he has good hands out of the backfield.

To get more people to realize how well Kerwynn Williams would fit our offensive scheme, here are his stats from this past season, as well as comments from cbssports.com...
2012 Stats: 218 rushing attempts 1512 rushing yards 6.9 YPC 15 RuTD 45 receptions 697 receiving yards 15.5 YPR 5 ReTD He is also a great KR/PR, averaging 25.2 yards per KR and 12.3 yards per PR. Quote:
I am not saying we should only draft Williams for the RB position in the draft, but we should grab him in rounds 5/6 to replace Leonard on third down duties and Tate for KR. |

My Fault Pulses I started another thread about this guy yesterday. Mods please delete the speed back KR thread.
Kerwynn Williams, I like this kid. He would be a perfect 5/6 round guy. I'm wondering if he goes higher. Pair him with Lacy or even Ball if they miss out on Lacy. Of course level of comp isn't real high for Williams, but he could be a nice pick and a 5-8 carry a game guy and KR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1p12_k9Etw http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/p...rwynn-williams |

Judging by this..
Too often goes down to first contact, showing little power to bounce off tackles. Relies on his ability to make defenders miss. Willing and cognizant blocker, but size limitations are especially evident in pass protection where he offers little more than a speed bump to oncoming defenders. Has excellent agility and acceleration but does not appear to have legitimate breakaway speed to pull away in the open field. Despite his gaudy return totals has only one kick return for a touchdown over his career (92 yards at Nevada, 2011) despite breaking into the open on multiple occasions. COMPARES TO: LaRod Stephens-Howling, Cardinals -- Like Stephens-Howling, Williams will have an uphill battle to make an NFL roster but his versatility and big-play potential could make him too valuable to not find a niche. --Rob Rang I don't really see him as someone on the Bengals radar, or even making the team if taken.

I still like my sleeper the best. I think he's the closest this draft has to Darren Sproles. He has the power even at his size to run between the tackles, but is most dangerous in space. Just looking at Williams, his body is that of a WR and reminds me of Dexter McCluster in KC.

Rouse has the advantage in pass blocking and showed in college he can carry the load. As far as size Rouse is listed at 5-7 190, Williams 5-8 190. McCluster was 5-9 172. Williams seems to have a little more speed and burst through the hole. The stats seem to show that. Williams 6.9 per carry and 15.5 per catch. Rouse 5.3 per carry and 6.9 per catch. Williams is also a very experienced kick returner. I'm afraid if you draft a guy like Rouse he won't see the field because he doesn't do anything else. Much like Boom. |

Turbin and Michael Smith, both of which are in the NFL. Williams sat behind some quality players, no shame in that.

It's not a knock on Williams, but a plus for Rouse.

Either way I'd still rather have Williams between the 2.
