Field position is part of the scoring of field goals. Is that what you want to hear? LOL!

3 times. Just saying, people are pretending like special teams arent important. I know not you

Quoted for truth, needs to be repeated as I full heartedly agree. Yanda is filthy dirty. He'd put Rodney Harrison to shame.

The media won't make a big deal of it until a guy like Ngata suffers a season ending injury because of it. Then there will be uproar and Goodell will have it illegal in time for the next week.

I didn't realize Ben hasn't played in 5 of the last 8 Bal games. That's bizzarre.

And is Ike Taylor better than he used to be? I seem to remember him struggling in past years but he is shutting people down now. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else that looks like Squidward.

You know what bothers me about that game the most?
Our offense scored more points than your offense did. Sorry, Byron Leftwich scored more points than your offense did. With his legs. TSizzle couldn't catch the slowest QB of all time.

What a joke. Anyway Ravens fans, Congratulations on another scheduling quirk; Favorable Bye's, opening week hosting the Steelers, followed by the next season of facing Byron Leftwich x2. What a joke, you had no business even being in that game. Oh well good game.
Steelers probly had no business being in that game Ravens should have blown them out....

The D played tough though wont happen like that in 2 weeks.

Pretty sure Cut blocks are legal.

It's not legal if the defender is engaged with another player.
Yanda dove right into Caseys knee (which was just repaired from being blownout..) when he was engaged with, I believe Birk. He flat out dove, he wasn't even close to him. Dirty, cheap. And illegal.

But that never gets called, nor any attention paid to it, unless the blownout knee happens to be Tom Bradys'

I believe being engaged does not matter if there is a position in between. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.

You would be incorrect. It is flat out illegal. Was banned because it blows out knees on a large majority of chop blocks. If a player is engaged it is completely illegal. No other parameters exist, unless you are blocked into said players knees. (incidental contact)

This is an incorrect interpretation of the chop block rule. In order for the block to be considered illegal the Offensive lineman that initiated low contact with the engaged Defensive lineman, would have to be more that one line position away from the offensive lineman that made initial contact.

In other words if the Center engages Hampton first either guard or both may engage him low legally. However it would be illegal if one of the tackles did so as they are more than one position way from the center.

Example two:

If the right guard initiates contact with Hampton first then the Center or the right tackle may go low. It would be illegal for the left guard or a tight end on the right side to go low.

That being said it should be illegal.

What you fail to mention is that the Ravens are dealing with a ton of injuries as well, most notably 2 of their 3 starting CBs, and the DPOY is still recovering from what should've been a season ending injury. Get over it losers, you lost.
What's funny is that 99.9% of the Steeler fans who think the Steelers would have won that game if Ben was healthy also believe that the Steelers would have won that Wild Card game in '05 regardless of whether they torpedoed Carson Palmer's knee on the first play of the game or not.

One obvious flaw with your point is that the Ravens prepared for Lefty all week. When Carson got knocked out the bengals offense became completely different from what anyone expected. The Ravens had a week to prepare for Lefty, he broke his ribs and the Ravens still just eeked out a close win after multiple wide open receiver seen passes fall 5 yards short.

It's not just Steelers fans though. Most neutral observers/analysts would say the Steelers win that game with Ben.

What is actually funny is the minority of you that tell yourselves the rats win regardless.

Happy Thanksgiving
