If we traded back to me it would be a toss up between Ogletree and Mosely.

Love the trade back for Ogletree. Not a huge Lacey guy. Ansah and Greene are very good pick ups.. On the whole if we pulled off a draft like this I would sit back and make this face a lot.

What, no German-ator? j/k
Pretty good for us, hard to see the first round go like that considering many are down on Wilson and Barkley, but has no real baring on our picks. I'd love Ogletree and Greene for pass defense purposes. I personally think Greene is too small with little room to grow, he's a real 'tweener. Love him at the college level, though.

I would give up our 1st and 2nd to move up to #7 overall for Jarvis Jones if this is the way it fell.

I have been thinking about the Lacey pick. There is more info at sportsoverdose.com that the Saints might be ready to part ways with Ingram. Would you think Lacey is a better fit for us than Ingram?

I love all of these picks. I think trading back is a good idea, provided we can pick up an extra second and/or third.
The only questions I have are what happens to Burfict, and what about our SAM? I can assume, based off of this mock, that Ogletree starts at MIKE, and Burfict is our SAM. Either Greene, Howard (if we re-sign), or Lamur starts at WILL. Is this assumption correct? |

Give me Bernard or Randle instead of Lacy and I would love this draft. I dont know if I agree about some of the other teams picks, but I am more worried about the Bengals then any other draft

Derrick Brooks was 6-0 235 Lance Briggs is 6-1 244 Chad Greenway is 6-2 242 Keith Bulluck is 6-3 235 If he adds 5-10 lbs he will easily be in the range of a lot of good NFL linebackers at the WLB spot. I do not think 5-10 is unreasonable. Does he have to do it right away? No. He can add to it slowly. But he is a play maker. He is a converted S (like Ogletree) and he has shown great ability to shed blocks even at his size. Quote:

We run a lot of Nickle this year so I could easily see alignment shifts to get match ups. Bernard went #28 overall to Green Bay. They might take issue with us re-drafting him.

I made another thread about Ogletree and I was wondering about his MIKE ability. Can he make the calls and get others in the right coverage. He is a freak athlete but can he stay disciplined and fly all over the field in the "wrong" way.

Because Palmer is leading them to so many wins?
They need a QB. The regime that got Palmer and Pryor is gone. They will want their own QB.

I'm diggin our mock, the complete 1st round is a little iffy but it's still early.
I love Ansah's upside. He could be a stud DE by his 2nd or 3rd season. The additions to our LB core would also be great. The draft class overall seems really weak compared to past years. There are very few "elite" prospects (Jones, Warmack, Loeckel, and maybe Star).

Ansah scares me. Is he JPP or just another freak athlete who cant do much in the NFL. Upside is huge but also a huge risk. He doesn't really have all that impressive film, well not as much of it as you would expect. I've felt that way for awhile now. I don't really see anyone so good we HAVE to trade up for if we keep winning and moving further back.

Agree, however I still think they may go QB and keep Carson around as a fall back option.

But they will look early for a new QB. Same with Cleveland. Haslam has the team now. Schurmur will be gone. Holmgren will be gone. Will the new coach be okay with a 30 year old 2nd year QB? I dont think they will and if they have a shot at Geno or Barkley, they take it.
