Default San Francisco bans most public nudity

(CNN) -- San Francisco residents who like to relax around town naked will have to keep their pants on. The city's Board of Supervisors approved a public nudity ban Tuesday in a 6-5 vote. As soon as the measure passed, some protesters inside City Hall tore off their clothes. Authorities draped them in blue blankets and led them away.

Supervisor Scott
Wiener, who introduced the ordinance, disputed claims that the measure violates freedom of expression.
"We're a city that believes in freedom, and we've always believed in freedom and free expression," Wiener told CNN affilite KGO. "But taking your pants off at Castro and Market and displaying your genitals to everyone, that's not free expression."

But some nudists have filed a lawsuit claiming the ban violates their First Amendment rights. "Is the First Amendment more powerful and more important than the passions of an intolerant mob and the ambitions of one or more city supervisors? We would contend that it is, and that's what our case is based upon," the nudists' attorney, Christina DiEdoardo, told KGO.

The ban does not apply at "permitted parades, fairs and festivals."

The San Francisco ban still allows topless.

Denver allowed topless sunbathing when I lived there. It was very common in Washington Park.

Hey, wait a minute. Wasn't Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" movies shot in San Francisco? You know what that means?

I have no clue, but it could mean something.

BTW, I can now confirm Ben-zoo/Mr. Orange is a real person. Mark him off the list of Doc suspects. lol

To tell the truth, they should allow nudity everywhere.

But with some restrictions and regulations

No men, at all, anywhere, be nude in public. The male body is one of the ugliest things God has ever created.

No women over 5'9" or over 110 lbs. or under 18 years of age may go nude either. You must also be under 45 years old or have a nice body. If you fall into this catagory to where you're allow to go nude, but you're ugly as sin, you must wear a mask or bag over your head and your ugliness kept under cover. If you at one time weighed 300 pounds but lost the weight and have excess skin hanging off your body, you can not, I repeat, you can not remove any clothing whatsoever.

If you break these laws, rules and regulations, you will face a 5 year prison sentence and a fine of $250,000.00.

Are you sure? Maybe I am just conducting a social experiment.

Get over it son, that's what 95% of people actually look like. They have anti nudity laws for a reason.

Hm, I'm not sure I agree with your assessment.

Personally, I like me a tall woman - 5'10", 5'11" - yeah, man. Also, I like a little meat on my women's bones - if I wanted to have sex with a twig, I'd hump a tree branch. Hell, my wife is at 140 pounds, 30 of which is in her bra.
