I like George Winn from UC. Nothing flashy but just gets it done. He kind of reminds me of Alfred Morris

Hard to judge him based on the level of competition in the Big East.

I'm thinking after watching Theo Riddick tonight he'd be a good pickup for us. He is rated way too low IMO. |

Re: Running backs
Mike Gilleslee looked really good against a good Florida State defense.
Dennis Johnson looked really good as well against a tough LSU defense. Stephan Taylor continued to look like a north/south runner that needs wide lanes and does not make people miss.

I'm a big Gilleslee fan. Has a lot of acceleration, blocks pretty well and seems to have good vision.

I'm becoming a strong believer in Dennis Johnson. That guy could be special.

So either him, Dennis Johnson, or Christine Michael if he can stay out of trouble. Bernard and Ellington are fine, of course. |

Tori Gurley is a second year WR for Green Bay out of South Carolina.
Todd Gurley is a Freshman RB for Alabama who won't be eligable for the draft. |

Mike Gillislee is rising up the boards pretty quick, and after watching him against Florida State this past weekend, I really wouldnt mind snatching him up in the 2nd or 3rd round. Walter Football has him ranked as the 3rd best back right now, right behind Randle (#1) and Bernard (#2). He is one of the faster backs in this years draft.
235 Att / 1104 Yrds (4.7 avg) / 10 TD / 15 Rec / 146 Yrds / 1 TD Those are pretty good numbers......especially against the SEC defenses out there. 14 - 83 against A&M (5.9 avg) - 2 TD 18 - 115 against Tenn (6.4 avg) 34 - 146 against LSU (4.3 avg) - 2 TD Against Florida State (top 10 defense this year) 24 - 140 (5.8 avg) - 2 TD If Bernard is there, id grab Gio.....if Gio is gone, then id take Gillislee |

I am still on the Montee Ball band wagon. 1528 yds, 4.9 avg, 18 TDs as the entirety of that Wisconsin offense is impressive. You don't get stats like that behind a slap **** offensive line like he had without being the real deal.

Stephan Taylor may not make people miss, but he'll knock you over if you try to tackle him. He's the best combination of size vs. speed in the draft, plus he's one of the best blocking RBs and receiving RBs in the draft this year. He's a jack of all trades, but master of none type of RB. I'd gladly use a 2nd round pick on him this year. Then later in the draft, I'd pick up a change of pace kind of back like Theo Riddick or K. Barner. I'm just not sold on Gilleslee. Not sure why cause he did have a good game against FSU, but I'm just not buying the hype yet.

My question is....
Who is this year's "Doug Martin?" Who is going to blow up and shoot onto the scene next year? |

Bernard is, return specialist, short compact strong runner with speed to boot but Randle is who i am high on.

Zac Stacy doesn't have great size but he's powerful, compact and has a low center of gravity. All of which work to his advantage. What he lacks in stature, he more than makes up for in his on the field play as well. Not all good college running backs have patience. Not all good college backs have vision. Stacy has both in spades. It's like he is playing chess out there, thinking five moves ahead of everybody else. He has very good anticipation skills, allowing natural cutback lanes to develop and he never misses an opportunity to slice open the defense on the backside of a run. He gets moving up field north/south very quickly after the snap. He plays with surprising power and has incredible leg drive. Constantly keeping his feet moving trying to generate extra yards. He has a very solid base, great balance and doesn't go down easy on first contact. Zac knows how to setup defenders. He makes subtle cuts as he slashes his way up field. At times he's so smooth, his running style appears to be effortless. http://youtu.be/SLOBrUQQNzo Last edited by pulses; 11-29-2012 at 03:12 PM. |

Re: Running backs
I like Gilleslee the more i see of him. Barner is also an explosive back that could hep us out. Stephen Taylor and Jonathan Franklin are the guys i like that can do it all though.
