Franchise tags

Don't know if any of you saw this earlier. The franchise dollars, per position, were released this week for the NFL next year, 2013. They are as follows....

QB..14.6 million
WR..10.3 million
OL...9.7 million
RB...8.0 million
TE...6.0 million

DE..11.0 million
CB..10.7 million
LB....9.4 million
DT...8.3 million
S.....6.8 million

Interesting that they separate the defensive lineman among DT and DE but they don't separate the offensive lineman.

If unsigned, Andre would be a 9.7 million tag. MJ would cost 11.0 million tagged.
Since signing our own players could influence the draft, I figured I'd put this in this section.

So it looks like getting MJ signed to a long term extension before Andre would be the frugal move. Since tagging Andre would be cheaper.
