Yeah. He had a lot of guilt issues and he worked them out with the imaginary phone calls. I think he's getting his head back on straight now. lol. Hershel knew he was going batty when he picked the phone up and noticed there was no dial tone. He was basically, "ooookay, this dude is losing it. Time for me to leave".

For those people in the 'know', how long is the Govn'r vs. Rick in the comics? Does it last a long time or will it be over with quickly?

Rick vs Governor was fairly short it seemed maybe 10 issues but took place over a couple months or more. Also there are very stark differences between the TV Gov and the Comic Gov…So I don’t see it playing our super similar.

I thought it was pretty good...it seems like now that the Governor has Glenn and Maggie we will finally see a reason why everyone is saying he is so evil (torture or something).

BTW if Glenn or Maggie die because Michonne didn't take her chance and kill Merle while he was distracted, I will hate her character even more.

The pacing really differs from the Comics. Season 1 is a mix of elements of the first volume (each volume is 6 issues) and season 2 is essentially volume 2 but stretched out.

Volumes 3-5 are them taking over the prison, dealing with the inmates and some character development of characters not seen in the show or some of the development of the relationships explored in season 2. Volumes 6-8 involve the governor, though it's not just 18 straight issues of the governor. There's initial conflict, some more prison and survival and then a final conflict.

The problem with comparing the show and that an important character in the first few volumes of the comics is not in the show and some characters are completely different than their counterparts. The comics deal with a lot more characters and each seem to be ****ed up in some way enough that they get their own storyline.

With how the comics are set up, I can see 2 or 3 more seasons out of the 10 issues following the prison/governor arc.

Minchonne in the comics is BA...in the show not so much. They make her seem like one in the show without really giving a reason why...and she has been with Andrea a lot so her dumbness probably rubbed of on her

Edit: The phone call didn't turn out nearly as suckish as I thought it was going to be, they did quite a nice job with that.

That felt forced and almost pointless. Yeah that made him look bad, but not the pure evil everyone keeps mentioning.

I think the reason The Governor doesn't come off as evil as he did in the comics is because the guy playing The Governor is just so damn handsome and photogenic. Plus the few things he's done that could be considered "evil" aren't really all that "evil". Though on the bright side, Michonne and Rick have avoided some gruesome abuse... So far.

That episode (to me) finally showed that the Governor is evil. Even though it seems implied he didn't actually rape Maggie, what he did was still pretty sick. It ***** that it happened to Maggie ...as she is easily my favorite female character.

I like how the prisoners are being integrated into the group now. The preview for next weeks episode looks intense. Overall it was another great episode, although it felt like the "experiment" was just filler time.

Also Glenn is a boss.

The experiment scene just made me feel like they was trying to make a place holder so they wouldn't rush the fight scene to save it for the midseason finale.

= 8 in fall 8 in spring (that lead right upto Game of Thrones)

I'm just glad that Maggie didn't meet Comic Michonne's fate at the hands of the governor. Also, how bad was Glenn after taking down the zombie? I feel like he is going to play a role that Michonne plays in the comics in this storyline.

It'll be interesting if Andrea continues being an awful character and sides with her old crew. I figure they'll have her come into contact with one of the prisoners first (and killing them) before she runs into the old gang.

I've wanted Andrea to get eaten by zombies but after the shot of her pulling up her pants I'm willing to deal with her a little longer provided we get more shots like that.....

Awesome episode and season so far.
Andrea's obviously a "hooker" but I'd hit it.
The scenes with Maggie,Glen,Merle, and the Gov were INTENSE!...lol
I wanted to go through the TV and hurt both Merle and the Gov.
It definitely has ramped up over the past couple of shows.
Stinks that they're gonna make us wait until March...tricky pr sob's!
