He's getting there, but not there yet. I need more fantasy yards from him, TDs are good though. Lets review at the end of the season. For the record, I hope he will be the MAN!

lol... We're not talking fantasy football here. The kid is scoring TD's. If he scores four TD's who cares if he only gets 50 yards? He's contributing big already. Also he'll get his game to game yardage up no doubt but i'll take a TD scoring machine in the meantime.

Yeah forget what i said, i don't even play fantasy football so i have no idea what i'm talking about. Hopefully his game yardage will go up, on a side note I was happy to see M. Jones out there, too bad Dalton short armed him on that deep ball he had his guy beat. On the TD slant, I think Dalton could have thrown it a little better away from the defender he would have gotten that too. Also the wide open AJ Green on that play action dang, the streak would have continued.

Wasn't Sanu playing the slot today?

I was just going to post that. Sanu is more of a slot/possession receiver that makes tough catches in traffic. He's not going to burn you deep as is evidence by his 5 catches for 29 yards.

We still need another burner. Hopefully its Jones.

Its no coincidence that Sanu playing and Dalton not throw in ints happened at the same time. He makes tough catches where other receivers didn't and resulted in interceptions...which made Dalton look bad...but they weren't his fault.

Sanu is providing EXACTLY what you want out of your #2 WR in an offense like ours. He is very effective across the middle, the redzone and endzone. He makes tough catches and is very physical. Raw speed is not as important as those qualities.

In fact, note that the offense picked up steam when we started giving Sanu more snaps. That's because unlike Tate and Binns he actually makes the opposing defense pay if they roll too much coverage towards Green. With Sanu across from AJ we can also put Baby Hawk in the slot where his shiftiness and speed work to best advantage.

So who does the defense key on when it's 1st & 10 and we do a 3-wideout set with Green, Hawkins (slot), Gresham and Sanu with Peerman as the lone back?

At this point its clear that Sanu is our second most productive WR, so regardless of where he lines up he's the #2 in my eyes. Dude scores points and makes great plays and is very versatile. When he's not passing for a TD, he's catching one or running for a 1st down. He's pretty much made plays with the chances he's been given

Sanu is a good #2 target in the slot the more games he plays and reps he gets he will get even better.M Jones needs reps too he could be a nice deep threat he just needs time to settle in.I think the running game has opened up the passing game the o-line blocking better on running and passing plays. After halftime the o-line was getting pushed back into Daltons face and we had a bunch of 3 and outs we go as far as our o-line takes us.Marvin Lewis said Gruden made a few adjustments to the running game to spread guys out more.Whatever the case if we continue this we are looking pretty good we are putting up 30 points a game last few weeks and that has taken pressure off the D also.P.S. It took Sanu a few weeks running around out there before he started producing so I hope we dont yank Jones too soon and give him time to make an impact.

I hope that Sanu ends up being to A.J. what Houshmandzadeh was to Chad. If he can take some of focus off of Green, then he could become a very productive receiver. I think he has the talent, but I'll wait to say whether he can produce at that level or not. For certain though, if he pans out, the Bengals could be sitting pretty at WR for quite a while.

The puzzling thing is it was always clear that Tate wouldn't be a #2 WR in the NFL. Same with Binns.

Yet...it took Sanu so long to get in there.

With the right adjustments earlier in the year...we're 8-3 easily right now.

And this guy. Sanu gets my vote. Way too multi-skilled not to start. Receiver, runner, passer.

Yes, I think these guys nailed it. Nice work strangers.

Sanu is gonna be special for Us. Especially since he adds that dynamic of being able to throw it down field.. (where have i seen that before)

Geesh are yall expecting AJ Green numbers out of Sanu. Hes looks like our second most reliable option. Andy is trusting Sanu and it shows. 3 tds in two games.

Did I somewhere type something and forget I did?

Geesh, I think I said I agreed he's our solid #2. So no, I'm not expecting, nor hoping he puts up #'s like A.J. Your #1 receiver should have better stats.

Geesh!

To everyone saying Sanu is a slot WR:
He is not JUST a slot WR. He lined up outside, in the backfield and in the slot.
He is a possession WR but that does not inherently make him a slot WR.

Sanu does most of his impressive work in the slot, so the team still needs more of an outside threat (Jones). Of course, Sanu is still the #2 WR option in the offense, and #3 option overall. It'll be interesting what happens when Jones starts to do better though. Tose two will be fighting for targets weekly. Fortunately that's a good problem.
