Default Ravens Could Clinch the AFC North Sunday

The Ravens could become the first team in the NFL to clinch a playoff spot next week.

If the Ravens win, and the Bengals lose, that would leave the division at

OVR DIV
Ravens 10-2 5-0
Steelers 6-6 1-3
Bengals 6-6 1-3

Worst case scenarios:

Steelers win out, Ravens lose out - Ravens win division because of head to head tie breaker

Bengals win out, Ravens lose out - Ravens win division because of division record

Bengals, Steelers win out, Ravens lose out - Impossible. Bengals play the Steelers in a few weeks.

Knock on wood and all, but that's how it is.

That would leave the Steelers and the Bengals scrambling for the last wild card behind Indianapolis. It would likely be decided by that matchup between the two in week 16 in Pittsburgh. With Roethlisberger back, there's no way they don't sneak into the playoffs. They'll likely be traveling to New England for that WC game.

A loss and a Bengals win would still leave the division at

Ravens 9-3 4-1
Steelers 7-5 2-2
Bengals 7-5 1-3

The point to be made here, is only by a complete, historical collapse on the part of the Ravens could lead to the Ravens not winning the division.

Once again, knock on wood.

Meh, it is about that time of the year when Flacco has his internal explosion, so we will see. But, congrats anyway like duke said.

Stop making threads to distract people from the fact that the Ravens give Gatorade showers over regular season wins.

So how much is Ray Rice going to charge for the roids?

You clearly have never heard of the "hey diddle-diddle, Ray Rice up the middle"

but, seriously, he and Torrey Smith had a great play to set up the game winner in OT.

I say it's a dumb move on Pittsburgh's part. But hey, I'd like to watch Baltimore pound his brains out trying to get that knockout blow.

It would help Cincy, so go for it.

And while you're at it, put a hit on Big Ben's ribs for us... just to keep Pitt off Cincy's back for the next month.

Indy still has to play the Texans twice. I can see that hampering their WC chances.

Too bad because the Steelers are clearly the best team amongst division opponents thus far.
That can not be disputed.
