Disagree with 3 grades, namely Pressley, Rey, and Burfict, as each graded negatively and I don't know why; on BOTH of Lawfirm's big runs, Pressley blocked the lead man, so for him to be negative makes no sense. Rey and Burfict were our 2 worst on D, and I saw solid games out of both of them.



A good day when this is the negatives out of the few there were.

PFF added analysis on Dalton's performance for those that question his grade.

A look at Andy Dalton’s basic stats from Sunday would have you questioning his grade for this game, completing 17 of his 28 “aimed” passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. When you dig a little deeper into the performance however, there just wasn’t much to get excited about. Completing just 3-of-10 on passes ten yards downfield or further, Dalton had the most success of short passes, with all three of his touchdowns coming on passes seven yards or fewer downfield. Like Green-Ellis he certainly wasn’t awful, with just the one really poor throw which should have been picked off by Matt Giordano on 2nd-and-9 with 14:20 left in the third quarter, however he just didn’t do much bar take advantage of the Raiders defense. Will that kind of performance be enough against the top teams in the AFC should they make the playoffs?

I wanted him re-signed but I had no idea he would produce this much for us (mainly because of health issues -- I still figured he had a lot of talent left in the tank).

I am the most critical of Dalton, but overall he had a solid performance. He moved the chains, and scored TDs inside the redzone. Anytime a QB has a rating over a 100 you can't complain. Dalton has been fantastic the past 3 weeks. Props to him and the offense.

Carsone got a -1.5, and did worse than Andy in terms of pass grade.

A question I'd like to know is that say if Robinson lets a QB pressure through, he obviously gets a negative mark for it, but if the pressure forced Dalton to make a bad decision or an off pass, it seems like they would count it against his grade also, or would they not? It's a pretty cool grading system but obviously not without flaws. Some of the negative grades make hardly any sense at all.

It would be a lesser negative grade, hence their posting of stats under pressure and whatnot.

If he did it with no pressure, it would be a harsher negative grade.
