Jon did great things for this team and for Carson Palmer whilst he was here. While others think it was the injury, I think it was also the loss of Kitna that hurt Palmer the most. Kitna had everything Palmer never will, with the excellent leadership skills and massive determination and heart. Palmer had everything Kitna didn't, with his size and arm strength. Together they were breeze.....I mean together they were great

There are several I don't like.
One, or two were just not nice people. Pickens, Big Daddy, and a few others. Quite a few that have been disappointments, for off field issues, that affected the team. Stanley Wison, Pete Johnson, Odell, Henry, Chad Johnson, and Dillion There are few I hate. Tiger Johnson, what ever he did to get picked as HC over Bill Walsh, and the fact he was not a good possition coach and a worse HC. Bill Walsh, for leaving and then hating the Bengals. Mike Brown for a ton of reasons, but thinking he knows squat about football, just because of who his Dad was is #1.

If we do these, I vote for Drew Bledsoe. He pulled an anti-Palmer and refused to be traded to us. You also left out Barry Foster.
He was a Bengal 2 days (in 95')before deciding to retire.

Sticking with that Bledsoe thing and refusals, It always kinda irked me that Eli refused to be drafted by San Diego. He might be the only player in history to refuse to be drafted #1 overall. I mean, how big does your ego have to be as a college prospect to refuse to play for an NFL team, let alone be their 1st round pick? Ridiculous.

4 of the greatest players to put on a bengals jersey and a long snapper?... These players all had ugly exits but we should still appreciate the time they we're here. Even Brad was a very good/ consistant long snapper for a number of years then one day his muscle memory was gone.. it happens. Cory Dillon is HANDS DOWN the best RB this team has ever seen! same goes for Chad at the WR position.

Well yeah, but he was promptly traded the same day to the Giants for Philip Rivers and 2 picks. Either way, Eli said he was never going to play for the Chargers. S h i t t y any way you look at it.

Surprised Akili Smilth wasn't on that list. Between him and Jeff Blake.....I didnt think we would ever get back on track in the QB position. IMO

These options are ridiculous.....
1. Akili Smith...obvious reasons 2. Odell Thurman.....thought he was gonna be the real deal and dreams got crushed 3. Antonio Bryant.... Can't believe we paid all that for nothing 4. Kimo....he played for us so it counts.....destroyed a potential perennial contendor 5. Chris Perry....has anyone ever seen a worse starting rb? These guys killed us...so they have to be higher on a hate list than guys who made us matter even a little in a league that forgets we exist. |

Chad never got in trouble off the field (not including his recent arrest).

Without a doubt, Stanley Wilson. May have cost us a SB trophy.

Thats an easy one for me... BOOMER, Not because of what he did here in Cincinnati but because he has totally turned his backs on the Bengals. Until they win then it's "his" Bengals. I will always for the rest of my life consider him a Jet. He only LOVES the Bengals when they are winning... Losing, then he is no better than Sapp IMO. Just another Hater.

All the guys mentioned here are candidates http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=boaSVmxJ6L0. But for me it's gotta be Akili Palmer.

Ricky Hunley instantly comes to mind.
And any player that stink it IP here then became super players overnight when they left. Rackers, mike Goff to name a couple...I don't hate them, but question their motives as professionals.

Good thread.
Most hated will probably always be Palmer. Can't get over it. Players I miss bashing on here: Gutcheck, Coats, Shank, Brad St. Louis, On the current roster it's gotta be Brandon Tate. Chad is my all time favorite Bengal. Sorry, don't care what anyone says. I don't hate Dillon. I understand why people do, though. I was still young in his glory years but it makes more sense him wanting out than Palmer. The Bengals were truly atrocious during Dillon's time here with nothing at all to really be optimistic about. Palmer had been through pretty good times comparatively. Also Palmer was not playing well his final years and we can all debate what went wrong all day but he was not above the organization or "so great" that he felt his talents were wasting away. He was extremely mediocre when he demanded a trade. Extremely mediocre players don't demand trades. Period.

Hahahahaha I completely forgot about Brad St. Louis. I've never been more ****** off over one players performance than I was with him. Just a horrible long snapper.
For me, gotta be Kimo. I'll never get over that Palmer knee injury. That was the best team we've had in two decades and we were poised to go deep into the playoffs. Palmer was ever the same. |
