From what I hear we'll have him next year, the guy had an amazing college career from what i hear. He's similar to Burfict, low risk high reward. If he plays really well like Burfict did, could you imagine if Burfict was in the middle starting with Joiner? I'm not sure who would play with them, maybe Howard? Who knows what we have in Moch?

I think we are all impressed with Burfict, especially because he is undrafted, but pump the brakes a bit. I'm a fan, but there is about 2 threads worshiping him, and another 2 saying we basically should find a way to extend him 10 years.

Joiner can really get after the passer. Dude could be a beast if he keeps his mind in it and works hard. We'll have him for next season, so we'll find out. He would have definitely been a pretty high pick minus the arrest.

I don't think anyone said extend him 10 years. I was one of the ones saying to extend him, but someone informed me of the new CBA rules which doesn't allow extending contracts til the third year. Realistically I would like to keep Burfict for at least 8 years. We need consistency in the LB corp.

Our team is made of team first players, and has a strong enough work ethic to help develop young troubled, but talented players excell.
Wow, that is such an improvement over the last decade, it is not funny. I say take a shot, and give the guy a chance, if it works out great. If it doesn't this team is solid enough to withstand almost anything that comes of it.

I read a text sometime that said Joiner would be getting out on good behavior after 6-9 months which should be coming up soon. Joiner would've easily been top 10 talent if not for this incident that happened 5 years ago. He has since then been trouble free and has graduated with honors from Arkansas State. Joiner will with out a doubt be a major factor for this team and will be what we thought we would get out of Moch as a pass rush specialist. The Bengals held onto this guy for a reason, so he must show some promise. Watching his highlight tapes you can see he has that WOW factor.

Man, so much wrong with this. Please, leave the rebuilders to someone else. They are not all going to be a Burfict.

So how exactly do you claim rights to a player? Did or do we give up a draft pick?
Wasn't he the sack leader in the PAC10? ![]() |

He was undrafted and just signed a contract.

I think he will be a solid player. I hope it works out. I think we have the team to do it, and the fact this kid has stayed free of trouble since then.

The internet says that Joiner hasn't had an incident since 2007. This is 5 years ago. Since his "foolishness", Joiner graduated from college. I would say that Joiner may have successfully turned the page on his life and could be a good value on the Bengals in 2013. |

Is he going to be suspended for the first 4 games next year?

Don't believe he would if guys like Janoris Jenkins were never suspended. Don't think Goddell can suspend anyone for something they did in college.

Could you link them, please? I'll join! It didn't work out too well when I joined Thalsa Doom.

I forgot all about this guy. Just watched some highlights and he's ver fast and explosive. I wonder what kind of weight training he's able to do in prison. I guess if he gets out soon he should be able to get some strength back before mini camps begin.
I like to see him replace Lawson next year, willing he capable of producing at the same level he did before his sentence. As much as I've giving Rey a hard time this year, the past 4-5 games have been pretty good from him. If we keep him keep vontaze at Sam and sign Howard cheap as a backup. If not move burfict to mike and keep Howard in there. Anyways, I think joiner can be a good player as long as he gets his strength and speed back from being locked up so long. Only time will tell, but it's something nice to look forward to and maybe we won't have to use a early draft pick on a lb that we can use somewhere else. |

Yeah yeah you know what I meant. Started off typing pick-6s then changed my wording and didn't see it was out of order.

Can someone please explain to me where they're getting this info that he's a "top 10 talent?" I never heard of this guy until the Bengals picked him up, yet we're comparing him to Vontaze Burfict, who was at one point crowned the "next Ray Lewis?"
I don't understand...... When was he a "top-10 talent?" |
