Has anyone else heard that it's being re-made?! I, for one, am super excited about this. Here's a trailer.
(caution: the trailer has a decent bit of blood and says the "f" word.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceBXUyuv4Q0

Re-makes can be hit or miss. Nightmare on Elm St was pretty bad. Let us know what you think if you go watch it when it hits theaters.

I'm not real big into gore porn either like the SAW and Hostel movies. They were decent, but gore is just not my thing. However, some gore is needed for a lot of horror films.

I own the original but couldn't watch the entire thing. One of the worst movies ever.

One of the worst horror movies ever made. Watch it as a comedy - it's friggin' hilarious.

Those kinds of movies are the best. When you're supposed to take them as one genre, but if you look at them as another (almost always comedy) it's so superior. The Transporter comes to mind for me.

Disagree, it's a bad movie period. Now the one with the skeletons is hilarious.

That was the idea. The first one was meant to be a horror movie, but it fell flat and just came out funny. The second one was a few more jokes here and there, but still attempted to be a horror movie. It was just funny. Then with Army of Darkness, Sam Raimi just said 'eff it' and went balls-out for comedy.

Blasphemy. Why re-make that movie. It's like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Gene Wilder was perfect. Why mess with it?
Plus, how uncreative are people now a days? I mean, can't you just make your own bat **** crazy, funny horror movie? Do you really have to reboot Evil Dead? Part of its charm is that it didnt take itself too seriously and the plot wasn't complicated. Hoenstly, just send some kids out somewhere and figure out a hilarious and vibrant way to kill them. Also gotta wonder about re-making a cult movie. Most people that love Evil Dead probably aren't to keen on a re-make. What's next, are they going to reboot Terry Gilliam's Brazil? Or 'The Big Lebowski' with some random, generic young actor playing 'the Dude'?
