Default Rolando McClain

Apparently he is no longer going to be a Raider according to PFT. Would you all consider taking a chance on him? I admit I don't know very much about him other than his off field issues but I remember when he was drafted he was supposed to be a beast. I don't think we should mess with our chemistry on a winning streak with a slightly improved maulaluga but it may help out.

People complain about Rey in coverage? Just wait until he walks onto the field

I found this reply eye opening and made me feel pretty good about our 1st round picks:

12 – Traded
11 – Trades
10 – McClain
09 – DHB (Mediocre at best).
08 – McFadden (one decent year – 0 healthy ones)
07 – Jamarcus Russell
06 – Michael Huff – Mediocre Safety/Corner
05 – Fabian Washington
04 – Robert Gallery
03 – Nmandi (Ironically the lowest pick on this list!)
02 – Phillip Buchanon/Napoleon Harris

Maybe he was embarrassed by his teammates in the brawl.

Sounds like he hated everything about Oakland. And who can blame him...
Bring him in if he is indeed released, have him interview with Marv and Mike.
If they like him give him a shot. If he seems like an idiot, let him leave.

I don't think there's any chance he makes it to us on the waiver claim, but I'd be all for it.

We just had Aaron Curry in this week, so we're obviously in the market.

I'd sign Curry if the knees are good.
Makes me wonder about the health of our OLBs right now tho. Could just be depth. Lemur and Skuta are nice ST guys and Lemur shows potential, but we may want more...

Yeah, I'm guessing the realize we're walking on thin ice. We're not bad now, but if we lose Burfict or Maualuga we could be in a pretty bad situation.

Funny how Curry was one of the "safest" picks in his draft..... I'd still like to give him a shot, only 26 years old.

Wow, teams that thought they had the right mix to make the playoffs prior to the season are jettisoning cargo like deck chairs off the Titanic. And people accuse Mike Brown of being cheap.

I'd sign him way before Jason Babin.

He has looked terrible since leaving Alabama's defense.

No thanks.

He had a good rookie season, I thought. I guess he's been Raiderized. Anyone they've gotten who's been any good has wanted out of there. It's like Oakland is the new Cincinnati.

Oh wait. . .

He could end up like Reggie Nelson.

In 2011 McClain had a season that trumps anything Rey has ever done. Using NFL.com's stats, Rolando finished with 99 total tackles, 5 sacks and get this, 14 passes defended in 2011. Rey's best year is 88 total tackles, 1 sack and 2 passes defended. Sure Rolando isnt having a good season this year, but is any Raider having a good season this year? If this dude goes to the right team, he will be better off for it in every way. I'm not willing to write him off as a bust just yet. Not under his circumstances and not with the year he had his 2nd year in the league.

Anyone writing this guy off to be a bust this early has not seen him play ball.

Id rather not, but apparently the team is concerned about their linebackers because we worked out Curry yesterday. If he is released we may show some interest, but I doubt we sign him to a deal.

He's got a ton of baggage and is a headache. I'd pass even with Rey's shortcomings.
