IMO, we have 4 pressing needs we need to address in the draft
LB S DE RB Bold means we have a good shot at drafting him without trading MLB 1. Manti Te'o - ND 2. Alec Ogletree - UGA 3. Shayne Skov - STAN 4. C.J. Mosley - ALA 5. Kevin Minter - LSU OLB 1. Jarvis Jones - UGA 2. C.J. Mosley - ALA 3. Chase Thomas - STAN 4. Gerald Hodges - PSU 5. Sean Porter - TA&M S 1. Kenny Vaccaro - TEX 2. Eric Reid - LSU 3. T.J. McDonald - USC 4. Baccari Rambo - UGA 5. Tony Jefferson - OKLA DE 1. Sam Montgomery - LSU 2. Damontre Moore - TA&M 3. Bjoern Werner - FSU 4. Alex Okafor - TEX 5. Dion Jordan - ORE RB 1. Joseph Randle - OKST 2. Giovanni Bernard - UNC 3. Stephan Taylor - STAN 4. Andre Ellington - CLEM 5. Mike Gillislee - UF All players not in bold are players gone by our 1st round pick

I know I'm probably sold on here more than most around here; but, why does everybody leave Matt Elam off top Safety prospects? He is arguably the #2 prospect on one of the few that might go in the 1st round.

Many of us think Elam has all the same negatives as Mays, but smaller and slower.

The only similarity I see is that Elam likes to go for the big hit. I see no similarities in their cover skills or ability to read/react to the run. UF has arguably the best D in the nation and Elam is the cornerstone of that D. Dude actually took over Will Hill's starting spot as a true Freshman.

If Le'Veon Bell comes anywhere near a low 4.4 high 4.5 he will make everyones list. As for Safety Phillip Thomas will be one of the first 2 Safeties off the board mark my words.

I think Jefferson is the number two or three safety and he's the guy that I want.
I hope Te'o is gone so we're not even tempted, but I could live with Ogletree (if Burfict really wants to stay at WILL).

Le'Veon Bell....how I loved watching him in the first half of the season. Then, as he continued to try to carry the entire team (seemingly), he started wearing down, really wearing down. That's only in college, just imagine how ineffective he would look 10 games into a 16+ game NFL season.

Best 2 out of 3, Lacy, Gillislee, Gillislee in retro-spect, I probably could've bumped Ellington out and put them both on. I like Lacy a lot though BTW, no way Le'veon Ball runs anything less than a 4.5 cause if he does, I might **** myself. Also, 4 TDs in a game for Randle and he gets no credit?

Why do we need MLB? We have Burfict.

Why do we need a RB? We have Bernard Scott and that scrub from ohio state.

As a FSU grad I can not wait to see him drafted by anyone. He causes fits in every aspect. Great against the run, disruptive in any type of coverage, blows screens up, blitzes good, and is a fiery leader. Only negative is he has a temper and he might get some personal fouls. My favorite safety coming out.

As much as I'd like to see Te'o in stripes next year too, I'm afraid its not going to happen. There's a very good chance he could go #1 to the Chiefs this year. God knows they need the help everywhere.

That is not going to happen. And if it does they need to fire their GM.

That pick is looking like a QB all day. Or, they could do the same thing the Rams did and trade down, acquiring a whole bunch of picks along the way.

Name one QB worth the #1 position this year? Matt Leinhart, I mean Barkley? Geno "Troy" Smith? This is a terrible year if you desperately need a QB. If I were the Chiefs this year, I'd go the Houston Texans route and pick another player high on your list not named a QB. Why not Te'o?

Why not? Pioli is going to be a goner anyways.

Derrick Johnson is a stud. Flat out stud at MLB. Their LB's with Siler, Houston, Hali and Belcher are not the problem. Their DL outside of Dorsey and Poe, and DBs outside of Berry are the problem. And their offense. The defense is so gassed from 10+ 3 and outs they can't keep up. That defense is not so bad they should pass on a QB to get a MLB.

Matt Barkley. Geno Smith. One of them. They aren't RG3 and Luck, but they are still good NFL prospects in their own right.

Re: Top Prospects at positions of need
So i guess neither Tavon Austin from WV or Jonathan Franklin from UCLA are coming out eh? Really liked watching these 2 RB's this year.

We have an Austin-type in Hawkins. Same skill set. Would need to be used the same way. Franklin is good. Had fumbling issues in his career. He is definitely on my list. Lot's of good mid-round RBs. No real front runners.
