Les Miles has a "serious offer" from Arkansas,

LSU Coach Les Miles has an offer from Arkansas for the head football coaching job, a source close to LSU confirmed to the Times-Picayune/NOLA.com Tuesday. The offer is reportedly for five years and $27.5 milliion.

"They made a serious offer," the source said "(Athletic Director) Joe (Alleva) is meeting with his (Miles') agent and the discussion is ongoing."

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette declined to comment and said Miles, who is out recruiting, has been informed of the twitter post by Sports by Brooks in which the matter first came to light. His LSU team defeated Arkansas 20-13 in the regular season finale Friday.

"We've seen the tweet by Sports by Brooks and we're not going to comment on rumors or bits of information," Bonnette said. "It has been brought to Les' attention and he didn't have anything to say."

I don't think he'll be going anywhere. He didn't take the job at M!ch!g@n, so I think he'll stay where he is and retire as a local legend.

Exactly. There are very few schools that, if you turn them down, it means you have no intention of going anywhere else, ever. It pains me to admit that M!ch!g@n is on that list. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Texas are also up there. Maybe even USC. Arkansas is not, and will never be, a more desirable program than that school up north.
