Sanu hurt in practice; out for the year

Geoff Hobson just tweeted that Sanu has a stress fracture in his foot and is having surgery on Monday. He also said it is possible for him to be out the whole year.

This is horrible news, he was coming into his own especially in the red zone.

Time to step up Marvin Jones.

Based on this, he'll be out 6 weeks. Back in time for the AFC Championship Game!!!

I'm confident someone else will step up and make plays for us at WR. It's good to have depth.

No no. The foot could not bear any weight for six full weeks; after that, the rehab begins. If you read a little further, it says it takes 4 to 6 MONTHS for the foot to fully heal. Plus, it's a receiver, which means running good routes requires putting a lot of stop-and-go stress on the feet. He'll be lucky to be ready for mini-camps next spring.

I agree. Sanu was showing great progress and had that pretty good game, but I don't think the team somehow collapses without him. Unfortunate and disappointing, absolutely, but not soulcrushing or seasonending.

I sure hope he is ready for mini camps! That would be unfortunate.

I have never seen any other pro sports team that continually loses starters to practice injuries like we do (Thomas Howard was also a practice injury as was Wharton - and that's just this season).

We're reduced to desperately hoping Marvin Jones can fill the gap because Hawkins can't (wrong type of player) Binns proved he couldn't and Brandon Tate is literally human garbage.

Ugh, according to Jamison Hensley, Tate is the guy who might start in place of Sanu, not Jones. Great. Just great.
