I really have a feeling that we are gonna take a hard look at taking Honey Badger if he's there late. Overall I approve of this draft.

26: Alec Ogletree, LB Georgia
35: Ezekiel Ansah, DE, Brigham Young I'd target Dion Jordan here, but Ziggy would be a good pick. 53: Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers 85: Stepfan Taylor, RB, Stanford 90 (f/Den): Bacarri Rambo, FS, Georgia 117: Shawn Williams, SS, Georgia YES!! Get both of them!! 149: Dennis Johnson, RB, Arkansas 181: Marquess Wilson, WR, Washington State 187: Tyrann Matheiu, DB, Louisiana State I love this draft!! |

Trading back for an LB is the perfect move, allowing us to take 2 LB's, DE, RB, S all in the heart of the draft, exactly what I'd like to see.

That draft would be outstanding. I would feel better about next year than after any draft in a long time. Love the Ogltree deal and the double dip at safety. Well done.

You guys have those QBs going way early. None of them is really very good. When they get together for the Senior Bowl and combines look for Mike Glennon to shoot up the charts.

You really think Jarvis Jones is going to slip that far??

A lot of very talented guys in this draft, but also a lot of character concerns. Three of these guys have been suspended for drug use and one just recently quit on his team. While we do not know the specifics in all of these cases I would hope the organization would do due diligence when getting to know these players.
I am all for giving guys second chances especially young kids but having almost have of your draft class with known issues is a tad risky. |

From what I have seen watching college football this year it is a rough year to need to take a QB high, who knows how their careers will play out.

No doubt Barkley cost himself a lot of money by coming back

Yes. There is a growing concern over his spinal stenosis and how bad it is.
It could keep him from ever playing at a high level. It could shorten his career immensely. It could not factor in at all.

If Gabs and Ponder can go top 15, Barkley, Smith and Wilson can go top 10. Tyler Wilson will prove to be the best QB. He has carried himself incredibly well in his given circumstance.

Anyways, the double dip was key. As a team, we don't lack a whole lot but where we do lack it is usually starters and depth. Of course this all depends on the play of several guys going forward.

The players are fine. I'd like to see a pick go toward the o-line, ala like how we were able to get Collins a few years back. Or like how we got Charles at TE. Just making a pick where we could squeeze one in there. I truly think we need an extra depth pick. Berserk or Orange..what do you think about Brian Winters....

it is possible to use him there. but Matheiu can be a top guy in that regard and would be used primarily on ST as a rookie.

Love the bengal mock. Only disagreement I have is that the browns will not draft a qb early and the jags will.

Meanwhile in Cleveland, the Walrus is gone. Schurmur is gone. New owner. New HC. New GM. Yeah, they may not want to roll with a 30-year old 2nd year QB who has been down right atrocious at times.

I like pretty much all the picks, and think Ansah could do well in our rotational scheme. I also like Taylor in the third. RB class has no absolute standouts, but a lot of very good prospects.
With Ogletree and Greene though, what is your planned LB lineup? I assume you are planning Ogletree at MLB, Greene at WLB. And Burfict at SLB? |

2 LBs in the first 2 rounds?
Isn't that overkill?

Not really. We only have one LB for sure next year in Burfict. Rey is a FA Lawson is a FA Howard is a FA who is 30+ and coming off an ACL injury. We will need 2 LB be it FA or the draft.
