I hate to say this in a way, but I wonder how long it's going to be before someone decides to off a few others before committing suicide at a team facility. This thought crossed my mind a few times yesterday. There was nothing at all physically preventing the Chiefs murderer from taking out Crennel and Pioli.

Yes, that's true, but he had no ill will towards them and they were not expecting anything out of the ordinary from him (ie he'd not been demoted/cut), and I'm guessing that he was not waving his gun around in front of them either. He was just thanking them for drafting/paying him. Guys can deal with getting cut, but when it comes to women and feelings associated with women, we tend to get overwhelmed and forget about rationality and do some pretty stupid things that can become a danger to ourselves and others.

Pretty harsh statement, they might not have valued their life, but someone else probably depended on them and valued their life.

Not true at all. There are plenty more things you can do beside suicide that are much more selfish.

Murder
Rape
Adultry
Armed Robbery
Getting high/drunk and beating your kids/wife
A gambling/drug addiction(sometimes those totally cripple families emotionally and financially.)
etc...

Any of these actions affect everyone directly involved at least as much as suicide would. I don't want to extensively explain how controlling severe depression is, but let's just say rational thought is all but gone when people decide to commit suicide.

Exactly. He could have killed at least 4 other people with no problem. He wanted to die, and it was extremely unfortunate that his GF was the apparent catalyst for him coming to that conclusion.
