Default Rey Maualuga

Against the Chargers: Six solo tackles. Two assists. Zero whiffs.

Say what you want, but Rey Maualuga has answered Marvin Lewis' challenge to take a bigger leadership role on defense. When he was playing horribly I was among his most vocal critics but when he plays well I want to stand up and shout it from the rooftops. I didn't think Rey could turn his personal season around and I am ecstatic that I was wrong.

I seen a whiff as well. I wouldn't mind keeping Rey, just as long as he's a backup & we draft an OLB with our 1st pick...(I'm convinced Burfict will be our starting MLB )

Oh, i definitely remember seeing a whiff because i cursed him through the TV. But i'm not going to quibble. He's playing better.

Cheers to Rey! He's been very good these past few weeks. Seems all he needed was a kick in the arse to get back into it. Well done at calling him out Marvin.

If Rey plays well why move Burfict and create another hole??

Howard comes back next year....
Keep Mauluga on the cheap and draft a guy to provide depth next year.

We have other holes to fill before we start shifting pieces on this LB corp IMO

I saw Maualuga trailing Gates on a lot of pass plays, and there was that missed tackle others mentioned. I don't have a PFF sub, but from what I saw yesterday he didn't play all that well...

Still need an upgrade.
