1- Cincinnati 4
2(t) Kansas City 3 2(t) Dallas 3 2(t) Philadelphia 3 2(t) Arizona 3 2(t) New Orleans 3 2(t) Tennessee 3 2(t) Jacksonville 3 Palmer was constantly hung for his talent in delivering the pick 6, so should this be a concern with young Andy as well? Or is it a sign/pitfall of an offense lead by Black Jesus? I think Dalton currently leads Palmer this season, and they have thrown an identical number of picks so far, 13. In honor of his efforts to be at the head of the pack, I wanted to create a leader board of the pick 6 elite for the 2012 season. Thanks to Bengalsfan024 for compiling the data.

Someone said Palmer had 2 going into the Bengals game. I think Dalton has at least double that.

Glad to see you're being productive with your thoughts.
Stick your ol' nasty spoon in there and stir the pot. Right now the only people on this board who cares are CP lovers. They can go route for the Raiders for all I care.

False. In addition, are you comparing yesterday's win to an average citizen wining the lottery? Talk about apples and oranges, as the Bengals were supposed to win yesterday. Let alone I wasn't taking about winning, but QB play, most notably the pick 6. I am happy for the win, in spite of the ugly, sloppy play by the offense. But the fact is, if the Bengals play like that against a good team, they lose much more often than they win. I want the Bengals to reach the post season and win, but they won't playing the kind of football they played Sunday.

I believe Dalton has 4 pick-sixes this season. I don't know (or care) how many Carson has this season, but in his final year here in 2010 he had 5. If Dalton is throwing 5 pick-sixes in his 7th season as a starting QB I'll criticize him just as much as I criticized Carson that year.

As long as he leaves us with a W, he can throw 4 a game.

Sorry, no help with the numbers. But I am sure Andy's numbers are much worse than Carson's. |

Dumb thread. Palmer throws pick 6's at the worst possible time and lost games. Andy redeemed himself by scoring a 4th quarter TD and essentially allowing us to win. And as mentioned Dalton is young and still has plenty of time to improve on those mistakes.

Dalton:
262-413-2980-24-13 63.4% completions 7.22 yards per attempt 91.3 passer rating On pace for 36 total TDs Palmer: 305-503-3532-20-13 60.6% completions 7.02 yards per attempt 84.4 rating On pace for 27 tds Sorry, I'll gladly take an extra pick 6 for all that extra production. Dalton is also playing WAY better than Palmer did in 2010 (when he threw 5 pick 6's).

Dalton is also playing WAY better than Palmer did in 2010 (when he threw 5 pick 6's). So you use Palmer's stats from this season, but compare Dalton to 2010 Palmer? How does this address the pick 6 race of 2012? In fact, I didn't pose this as a QB issue, but as a coaching issue, as it is something that has plagued the Bengals. You referencing a past Palmer with the Bengals only reinforces that point. In addition, did your projections take into account the teams left on the schedule, as the Bengals will face the Ravens and Steelers, so might not be the same as what the Raiders have waiting? Again, still waiting for a site to reference to get this leader board rolling.

Andy Dalton 24 TD 13 INTs (2 of which were pick 6s)
Carson Palmer 20 TD 13 INTs (not sure how many pick 6s, but one was to Dre Kirkpatrick when he played us) And oh, by the way, Palmer lost 4 fumbles compared to Dalton's 2. And just for fun: Drew Brees 30 TDs 16 INTs (again, not sure how many pick 6s, but he threw two against the 49ers) and 1 fumble.

I check in on a fair number of sites for NFL discussion and analysis and unfortunately don't know of one that specifically identifies pick-sixes. I think you (or someone else) would need to check through box scores from the games to compile this.
