Big Ben reportedly upset some by not pushing to play

Ben Roethlisberger reportedly surprised his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates by refusing to push himself in practice in the days leading up to Sunday's showdown against the Baltimore Ravens.
CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported Sunday that Roethlisberger frustrated some inside the organization by doing little more than toss the ball on the sideline after he was medically cleared to practice this week, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin sat down with Big Ben and told the quarterback he'd have to fully practice Friday or be ruled out on that day's injury report, according to La Canfora, who reported that many inside team walls expected Roethlisberger to play.
Big Ben's injury originally was described as a dangerous and rare rib setback that might shelve him deep into the season. The Steelers have been a shadow of themselves in his absence. It's not surprising to hear of internal pressure on Roethlisberger to suit up, but it's an unusual area of criticism for a player who has built a sturdy reputation of playing through pain.

How dare he not risk extreme injury against the Ravens. Maybe if Ben didn't carry that team, they'd have a chance.

I just got a phone call from someone who knows and it is clear Ben hasn't paid any taxes in 10 years. Don't vote for him on the Pro Bowl ballot.

LOL at anyone using Peaches as a source of anything Steeler related. I can't recall the last time he got anything right. There is zero chance this troll hit job or an article is correct.

Married life has softened Ben up a bit. The single man Roethlesburger would have went out there with some duct tape around his shoulder.

So, I guess the Steelers will be looking to draft a QB this year?

You're calling him names because you failed to post your source in the OP? You also posted it as a response to my saying the article was BS, hence him calling you out.

I know we have a dearth of moronic trolls now that luvnuts took his ball and went home, don't feel you have to pick up the slack though.

Despite national reports to the contrary, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was "absolutely not" cleared medically to play against the Baltimore Ravens, a team source told the Post-Gazette.

So,we have the story in the OP claiming that people in the Steelers' organization were po'd that Ben didn't try to get back quickly enough without listing any sources and a counter article in the Post Gazzette stating that he wasn't cleared to play without listing any sources? So,in a nutshell, people are going to believe what they want to believe.

Um... no!

"But the Steelers knew early last week Roethlisberger wasn't going to be able to play against the Ravens."

Cat, you by chance post at a certain Steeler site where referring to La Confora as Peaches is common place? That guy has zero sources within the franchise and embarrasses himself every time he "reports" on them.

He's unimpeachable!!!
