Yeah, I really want to see what Orson Charles has to offer. If we end up not resigning Gresham, I'd like to know if who we have after him is serviceable enough.

With Sanu done, the verdict still out on Jones (for this season), Tate & Binns, I agree, give Charles quite a few more snaps for passing downs.

Im not sure either but his strength is freakish. His combine numbers were rediculous. Don't remember the exact number but I'm pretty sure it was 35+ reps of 225. That's up there with the strongest D linemen.

I bet he worked out with geno at Georgia!!! No wonder haha

Yeah for I don't remember seeing him on the field yesterday. Crazy. Think could open things up it time down the middle of the field.

He has at least 1 holding call so far I'm pretty sure it happened against the Giants.

I want to see him get more playing time, because he produces when he gets the chance.

Everyone on here knows I think Gresham plays like he is scared of getting injuried again.

Charles may end up being a better TE, than Gresham. The only way we know is if we give him a chance. Play the kid, and see how he does.

Im not saying we should bench gresham id prefer to run more 2 tightend sets it would be playing to a strength.

I've never understood why we don't run more two tight end sets. Orson Charles IMO is similar to Sanu in that he is a gamer. He's never afraid of the moment and I think he runs better routes then gresham.

Does anyone know how his blocking is? I honestly think he moves better then gresham and seems to have great hands.

Love gresham and love the way he plays but he seems to be so up and down (up right now obviously) and i'm definately sick of his 1 holding call a game.

With bringing up Dan Herron we may see Charles a good deal of the time. There is really no need to disturb Gresham from what he is doing now. I say start Baby Hawk on the outside opposite Green then put Charles in motion effectively moving Hawkins as a slot. Charles had a 4.6 which is respectable for a fast TE or a slow WR. He can be a powerful blocker-this is an opportunity not a problem.

I keep waiting for Orson in a two TE set in the Red Zone. Defenses will assume he is in to block and Gresham will go out in the pattern....WRONG! Reverse it and Orson should be wide open. Love his hands and how he turns upfield quickly. Doesn't go down easily, either.

I'm not saying he should get more snaps than Gresham, but it sure wouldn't hurt to target him a few more times....maybe Gresh takes the hit and secures the ball better?

I want to see them both on the field at the same time. Having two tight ends coming off the line that can block or catch a ball will give defense fits, especially with The Law Firm in the backfield and ready to explode either way from a single back set. Teams would have to fear him breaking loose but also not be able to load the box because of the fear of play action.

And they might not both be on the line because Gresham seems like he's comfortable standing up and Charles looks like he'd be a missile coming from a three point stance up the seam.

Good luck trying to cover those two with backers because you can't, so you keep safeties in the middle of the field and we just loft it deep to AJ and Marvin Jones.

This is getting me excited.......... I love football!
