It's a good thing gas isn't under a buck a gallon, even though back in those days if you take that price and calculate the real dollar value, you're spending a similar amount today as you were then.

I thought about putting people in there; my mom, dad, grandparents, grandson, various other relatives and loved ones. Then I stopped myself because I believe they are very much here and alive, just not visible. So I will say one very important piece of my life; my childhood home. It was where I began, where my life story was molded; cultivated. It was where I discovered life's meanings and its injustices. It was such an essential part of my life those first 18 years. The feeling of going home is dear to your heart, and I don't have that anymore. What's left is a parking lot, but underneath that asphalt is a lot of my memories.
