IP Banned if Living Outside Country?

Hello everyone! Last year I used to live in Italy and every few weeks or so when I would try to log-on to the boards, sometimes it would randomly say "The admin has banned your IP address. Please click here to contact the administrator." I figured it was some sort of small glitch since most of the time that would never happen.

I moved to Costa Rica a few months ago and just this past week it started happening again. I tried to come to boards.bengals.com and the same message would appear. I haven't received any infractions, or even posted in the past few weeks, so I have to contribute it to some sort of error or system glitch.

I've never had any problems logging in from within the United States, though. Does anyone know what gives?

I never faced this problem. Always posting from outside the US, obviously.

Way late to this party but it has happened to me in airports and a few internet cafés in Brazil as well.

The board receives a lot of spam from overseas sources, so yes, many of those IPs are banned to prevent the spam.
