Have him as our emergency 3rd back, he has been with the team all season up until November

He knows the play book

He is probably in game shape

Better than some guy who has been on his couch all year

I would be all for Brooks coming back. I was against him being cut.

Now about the OSU homer crap.....stuff it. In another thread I said to bring Herron up. It has nothing to do with what college he went to rather that he is here and has been working with the team all season. I also trust Anderson as a RB coach.

If you go back and look many of us OSU homers were not in favor of the draft selection in the first place. Assumptions are a bad thing in general.

College colors dont fly here in the NFL its all about whats best for the team... Like Leon Hall is from michigan but i still like him. Last year we started an OSU and MU CB on each side and played great. College colors stay at the college level.

That said I want Brooks at least back on the Practice Squad. Yeah he fumbled in the preseason.. (rookie trying to do too much)

Herron would run well behind this line dont forget what he was able to do his last year in NCAA coming back from suspension and having big games. He could help us. Whoever is best on ST's as that is where a majority of their snaps will occur.

i liked the brooks kid. i feel like he could be a good one. i did not want him cut.i like boom as well. i say just get SOMEONE ready and lets go. both will do.running backs know what to do.above all. DO NOT FUMBLE.and run to daylight and then keep going dude!!!!!!

The logical thing IF they brought Brooks back would be to sign him to the PS to replace Herron who suits up on gameday. The team Obviously feels like Herron is the better of the two and Herron has been practicnig with the team.

Hobson just announced via twitter that Herron has been signed onto the roster, Sanu to IR, and Vidal Hazelton signed to PS.

So no room for Brooks, yet anyway.

brooks was just cut last month not sure why...

But is someone im interested in at least letting come to camp and compete for FB next year.

Cut by the same coaching staff that had Lamur on the PS while our starting LBs were horrible in pass coverage?

The same coaching staff that wouldn't even give Peerman a chance?

Or the coaching staff that started Binns and Tate?

Now we are actually bemoaning the loss of both Peerman and Sanu

How about the coaching staff that inactivated Whalen for 6/7 games when he has great numbers in the scores you so often bring up (PFF)

Sorry, don't expect me to trust the choice of a guy that wouldn't play Peerman and now calls up Herron

Did anyone catch any of the Ravens game last week. Leach laid a block on Hampton that just about broke him in half. Earlier he put a block on the SS that looked like a car wreck.
I had written on this board last week that we need to draft a thumper blocking FB, similar to Leach. He helped both Arian Foster and Ray Rice achieve their best seasons.
So we need a FB to lead the way for our RB (whomever he may be), and NO, NO, NO to Brooks.

The difference is that Leach is used for 40 snaps a game, so he has opportunities to go out there and block.

Casey as well, Kuhn (who *****), all these guys get 20 snaps a game or more, and they get results (except for Kuhn).

Pressley can't do anything with 10 snaps a game.

we need a more dominate and dynamic FB and then he would see more snaps.

But we seem to run better in the Spread offense and the spread is also helping the passing game. (as it lets andy read the D better)

which is why pressly doesnt get as many reps. (if he was a better pass catching option im sure he would get more reps on the field)

But really with it being a Dying Breed we are kinda lucky we found someone like pressly most FBs are just overweight RBs in this league.

Pressley is not a two time pro-bolwer and the #45 player in the NFL Top-100. You play the talent that is available.
At one time we had a great one (Lorenzo Neal), but he went on to help Ladanian Tomlinson.

Lorenzo Neal is the most overrated FB in history.

Not only was he thrust into good sitches constantly, but he was a run-of-the-mill FB, and nothing more.

Jeremi is the best FB we've had since Ickey, and the best blocking RB we've ever had.

Furthermore, your comment is irrelevant to what I said; Nobody can do much with only 10 snaps a game.

And Kuhn, Donald Penn, +more made that list. If you believe it, you've GOTTA check some things out.
