Unfortunately we don't seem to want to explore passing out of a 2 TE 1 WR set. Why that is I do not know, as it has been repeatedly used by multiple teams with great effectiveness. New England is far from the first to do it. Green Bay won a Super bowl under Brett Favre using that formation a significant amount of the time.

Why LOL? It is a valid point. It is simply evidence that passing out of a 2 TE formation is not something new - the Patriots didn't start it. And it is a valid offensive formation.
