Safe travels and try the Moerlein Lager House. It is located between the Reds and Bengals stadium along the river. It is actually right next to the Reds stadium. Great food, great beer, and great atmosphere....but get there early, they fill up.

Enjoy the game! I will be there, too!

Enjoy your trip, and safe travels to all coming to town to see the Bengals whoop up on America's team.

Thanks, I think so far we are going to go to the Banks and Aquarium. Also going to load up on some Bengals gear! Wanna definitely want to try Moerlein Lager House.

Quick question, we are staying at the Holiday Inn across the river. Should we drive to the stadium or take the boat across?

You could take the purple people bridge also.
If you aren't opposed to the walking, either walk, find a shuttle (they did them for Reds games) or take a ferry. Save a little on parking, get some exercise.

But I don't cross the river much around the games, so I would take my advice with a grain of salt.

I'm not quite sure where the Holiday Inn is located, but if it is close to the bridge you could always walk. Cheaper than a boat or having to pay for parking.

Yeah that's what we do. My mom works at a Newport elementary school, and we get free parking there and just walk across for Reds and Bengals games. Not the Purple People bridge though. The one that outlets right there by US Bank.

Not sure which holiday in you're stating at, there's one in Covington and one in Newport, but neither look like walking distance to the purple people's bridge. I'm not sure about any ferries I've never taking one before to get across the river.

If you have enough time try and catch the Festival of Lights at the Zoo. The zoo in general is a great place to go.

If you have the time-take in the Cincinnati Zoo's festival of lights. The Cincinnati Zoo is one of the worlds great zoo's. Also have some Skyline or Goldstar Chilli cheese conies, slip into Montgomery Inn for Cincinnati style barbeque ribs-awesome, and the Precinct for a great steak even by KC standards.Enjoy the game at PBS!

Like someone said depends on which one you're staying at. If its Newport I would walk to the southgate bridge (it's the grey one) and it puts you right by us bank arena and GABP, gives you a chance to check out the scenery. It's about a 20 min walk doesn't seem like it though. Or take the southbank shuttle ($1.50 I believe) or the tank bus ($2).

Yeah if you're staying at the Newport holiday inn I'd take south gate bridge and you will get to see a lot of what cincy and Newport has done to make this city fun and exciting. Stop in the middle of the bridge and let out a big WHO DEY haha.

Another thing, if you're a reds fan too. Check out the reds HOF building right next to the stadium, very cool and I think they even do tours of the stadium if I'm correct. Someone please confirm that though.

Maybe I'll see you there. I live in Dayton, so as soon as I wake up on Sunday I'll be hitting I-75 North.

Last time I went was for the playoff game in 2009 against the jets. I was staying with my grandparents who had moved across the river. Me and my Dad walked across the purple bridge and I found it pretty fun. We had some little bottles of whiskey we smuggled in our jackets and everyone was jacked up for the game. It was kinda like a moving tailgate party. The only problem was we live in Orlando now and it was cold and snowing. I was fine but I think it was a little rougher on my Dad, but he said only his feet cold. So if the weather is ok, I would just walk.

And your PONCHO becuase its going to start raining tonight and wont stop till Tuesday. I hope you have a blast. The Banks area is just a fun place to hang out. I would suggest walking through the Tailgate area becuase there are some fun and great people down there that will provide a fun atmosphere. Paul Brown Stadium is on the list of 150 Buildings to Visit in the US (only NFL stadium on that list).

Hope you have a great trip man. Safe travels!

Love the Bengals spirit.

I've been a fan since they started. Took in several games at Nippert against Oakland and San Diego.

Those were awesome games - really had a feel for NFL player's size and athletecism because we were up so close and the field was grass (with a lot of dirt lol. It was September). You could hear the sound of those big guys on the ground. Sounded like a buffalo stampede.

Anyway cheers to you and all the guys coming in from way out of town. Safe travel and hopefully a win against the Cow Pokes!
