Christmas is the repurposing of ancient pagan celebrations so the early Roman Catholic Church could compete about 1600 years ago. Christmas is still filled with pagan symbolisms and customs, including the gift giving and singing. Jesus wasn't even born of December 25th.

You have rights to say merry christmas... But if you work at a large organization you should say happy holidays or seasons greetings as you dont want to give a customer that might not have the same beliefs a reason to think your company is religiously biased.

Having a Santa at work or a mall is for the kids...

Having a baby jesus is a religious symbol and statement that can offend people of different faiths in a country that was found against religious perscution. Churches of the appropriate faith is where religious things should be shown.

They don't say it at businesses because there is more than one religion in this country. Some people celebrate Chanukka, or Kwanzaa, or Ramadan.....so saying "Season's Greetings" incompasses them all.

1. Sonic's policy doesn't apply to you. You can say, "Merry Christmas" wherever and whenever you like. Sonic may prefer their employees greet customers with "Season's Greetings" instead of "Merry Christams" because maybe someone who is Jewish is offended by "Merry Christmas" the same way you are offended by "Season's Greetings." My sister-in-law graduated from a Bible college and told me that it's accepted that Jesus was born sometime in the spring. Most likely April. As for the people claiming that Christianity is a rip off of paganism, how do you know? Something you read or some youtube videos? I've seen some pretty convincing 9/11 conspiracy videos. Doesn't mean it's true.

Unfortunately, paganism infiltrated the Christian religion a long... long time ago, but that does not mean that paganism or any other religion preceded Christianity. There simply is no proof. Period. You guys could provide 10 links, and I could provide you 10 more saying the contrary. As much as you want it to be so, there is no proof that Christianity is untrue or based on another religion.
