Seriously? I call it Christmas because that is the recognized name of the holiday. If you'd like me to call it Xmas, Consumermas, or something else, just let me know. Why do you say the word Atheist if you are a Christian? Do you see exactly how small of an amount of sense your silly little point makes?

Christmas is the repurposing of ancient pagan celebrations so the early Roman Catholic Church could compete about 1600 years ago. Christmas is still filled with pagan symbolisms and customs, including the gift giving and singing. Jesus wasn't even born of December 25th.
He was born in December though..

You have rights to say merry christmas... But if you work at a large organization you should say happy holidays or seasons greetings as you dont want to give a customer that might not have the same beliefs a reason to think your company is religiously biased.

some people like you are easily offended.

Santa isnt Real.. (sorry to burst that bubble)

And Atheist dont care what you think... and you shouldnt worry about them either. Just tend to yourself and youll be a happier person.

Having a Santa at work or a mall is for the kids...

Having a baby jesus is a religious symbol and statement that can offend people of different faiths in a country that was found against religious perscution. Churches of the appropriate faith is where religious things should be shown.

You would be upset if there was a gaint budda in every court room would you not?

lol....It offends you to hear someone say "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays"? There are places where you aren't allowed to say "Merry Christmas? Where are these places? This is getting more and more idiotic with each post.

They don't say it at businesses because there is more than one religion in this country. Some people celebrate Chanukka, or Kwanzaa, or Ramadan.....so saying "Season's Greetings" incompasses them all.

That doesn't mean you can't say, "Merry Christmas" while you are in Sonic!

So there is nothing preventing you from saying Mery Christmas anyplace you so desire.

With 12 apostles, 3 wise men, death and a 3 day resurrection, and so on.....

The Christian religion is a huge rip-off of ancient Egyptian, Indian, and Greek religions.

1. Sonic's policy doesn't apply to you. You can say, "Merry Christmas" wherever and whenever you like. Sonic may prefer their employees greet customers with "Season's Greetings" instead of "Merry Christams" because maybe someone who is Jewish is offended by "Merry Christmas" the same way you are offended by "Season's Greetings." However, I don't expect you to be sensitive to anyone else's religious views. Afterall Sonic is in the custermer service industry whose main business is capitalism. Sonic worships the Almighty Dollar thus they don't want to offend anyone.

2. Athiests don't have a patent of Santa or the term "Season's Greetings". Both athiests and non-athiests alike use both.

3. If you are offended by Santa and "Season's Greetings" why can't you understand why someone who isn't Christian might be offended by "Merry Christmas"?

Is it really that big of a deal? If anyone is offended by "Merry Christmas" or "Season's Greetings" then they have problems.

4. Your rights are the same place they've always been. Stop acting like a victim because Sonic allegedly has a company policy which doesn't apply to you.

Oh look! Another thread where believers and non-believers argue and bash eachother. Boy, you just can't get enough of this type of stuff! Keep it coming, and BTW, Merry Christmas to everyone. Whatever you believe, or don't believe, I hope we all have a safe Holiday Season, and enjoy time with family and friends.

Carry on.

My sister-in-law graduated from a Bible college and told me that it's accepted that Jesus was born sometime in the spring. Most likely April. As for the people claiming that Christianity is a rip off of paganism, how do you know? Something you read or some youtube videos? I've seen some pretty convincing 9/11 conspiracy videos. Doesn't mean it's true.

Unfortunately, paganism infiltrated the Christian religion a long... long time ago, but that does not mean that paganism or any other religion preceded Christianity. There simply is no proof. Period. You guys could provide 10 links, and I could provide you 10 more saying the contrary. As much as you want it to be so, there is no proof that Christianity is untrue or based on another religion. But continue on with your hate filled slam-fest.
