We need him in the entire game at strong side linebacker.
I'm afraid Witten will tear Lawson apart if he tries to cover him. Lamur has been solid with his speed on defending slot receivers and tight ends C'mon Emmanual

He's been getting some snaps and hasn't looked bad. Pretty good, in fact. I'd like to see him keep developing. Lawson is an average linebacker, and a more than solid citizen, but I agree. Lamur just looks better in coverage, albeit he's still very raw.

Lamur had a decent game against Denver, but haven't seen much since then. To much of a liability against the run to be out there except on 3rd downs. If Murray can't go then I could see Romo putting the ball in the air 50+ times, so I'd think you would see more of Lamur on Sunday.

Is Mays healthy? I bet he'll see some time on Witten.

I've seen him do some good things on Special Teams, but I haven't really been looking for him on the Defense. Like Shady said below, he is still very raw.

I would love to see Taylor Mays in that role, I am still very high on his raw talent, Taylor just needs to get better at the mental part of the game

I understand Witten is very good, but for some reason I am not worried. We have been able to contain some decent TE's lately. I think the biggest thing is pressure and if we keep pressure on it doesn't matter who your throwing to it's difficult to do while getting sacked.

I agree with that and conversely if you don't get pressure you can get beat by about anybody. |

Yeah, here's the thing about Crocker. Its not his play on the field, so much as his personality that the team likes about him. He's sorta like having a coach on the field, as in he kind of "QBs" the defense. He gets burnt from time to time, and has been known to shy away from barreling RBs in playoff games, but doggone it, he sure does get the other guys lined up where they're supposed to be! ![]()

While that is true, just keep in mind that Crocker is on average, personally responsible for 2-3 bad plays/gm.

To be fair he hasn't played near as bad as he did last year. Still though we can't keep relying on Crocker to be our starting SS for years to come.

Well, unless our SS for years to come is one of the guys on the IR, I fear that he may not be on the roster this year. Otherwise, they wouldn't have brought back Crocker. But, you are right, he's playing better. I'm thinking that the time off did him good, kept his body fresh for the second half of the season. Likely why so many have us taking SS in their mock drafts.

Re: Emmanuel Lamur
Lamur has impressed me in his limited role. I am all for this. Lawson has been pretty bad this season. Wouldn't mind seeing Mays out there at times either as others have said but that might not happen as others have alluded to.

Re: Emmanuel Lamur
we so need taylor mays to put a serious licking on their te. who cares if he gets penalized?? take the dude out of the game or at least drill him so he is hurtin. otherwise he will kill us. no one can cover that dude if romo has time to find him.we must knock him out,i say and taylor mays is just the man to do it. i hope it gets a chance to do just that.

The point is, you can't take Crocker's head and put it on Mays' body. Mays has all the athletic ability in the world, but still doesn't make the right reads. Crocker has been a huge benefit to this club. Yes, he ****** last year playing injured in the playoffs, but he has been very solid this year and leads the team with three picks. He does far more than just get players lined up in the right spots. I'm glad he's here.

Lamur really impressed me in pre-season. I didn't realize until now that he's been called up. I'm sure he'll do a great job.

Lamur has played very good with the limited reps he has. Much better on TEs than that turtle named Lawson. Hope he is stuck on witten all game!
