Ansah is rated a 1st-2nd rounder right now and Phillip Thomas is a 5th rounder right now.Much better options at safety in the 2nd round. I also think Hunter will be gone before we pick.

Pretty sure that Lattimore has committed to going back to school next year.

We don't need a first round WR. If he is clearly the BPA when we pick I wouldn't mind, but I'm not convinced he will be.
Like the Barr and Barner picks. 3 is a little early for a backup RT. If we lose Andre then I want one earlier. Ansah won't last that long based on current projections. I too have heard Lattimore will be back, and we don't need to draft a kicker.

I love the Barner pick, but think he will be gone by then.

1) I like taking a WR high, as it only helps our WR situation. Tate needs to be gone, Binns probably should be too, and Hawkins will be a RFA so there's a chance he won't be back.
2) Like the Barr pick as well. He has played amazing this past year, which was his first year as a LB. However, I wonder if he will return to further develop his skills. But if he enters the draft, go for him. 2) Too early for Thomas. There are many better safeties that will be available at this spot. 3) Kinda early IMO for OL. Third round for strictly a backup? More pressing needs and there is still great talent available in the third for those other needs. 3) Ansah is projected late first/early second, and will probably raise his stock as well at the combine. 4) Barner's stock is already into the third round, and can boost into the second with a stellar combine. He should not be available in the fourth. I'd spend a third on him. Perfect pairing for BJGE. 5) Lattimore has already stated he's returning to South Carolina next year. Entering the draft now would be dumb on his part. Stock has dropped too low. 6) I have no problem taking Hopkins here if the Bengals decided to do it. Hopkins has done well, and Nugent tends to find ways to get injured almost every year. With that said, I think there are still better players to choose in the sixth than a PK. I like most of the players you have selected, but this is more of a dream draft for all of these guys to fall to your specified rounds. We also have an extra sixth. |

This is a great draft - and there's a reason. Most of the guys that you have here are rated much higher than where you have them taken. I'm not saying it won't happen (after all we got "1st rounders" when we took Rey in the 2nd and MJ in the 3rd.)
Kiper has Barr at #11 on his big board Ansah is now widely considered a first round/second round lock |

I agree this is a stretch but I can see this draft falling like this projections is just that people have been projected go first and second rd and drop third fourth every year it's possible

Long is an interesting pick. I wouldn't be opposed to him in the 4th or later, which is a high probability. He's got the genetics to prove he can make it in the NFL...if that truly exists at all.
Thomas is also a bit overdrafted here. That said, I think we need top-tier talent...we have mid-range talent at safety for backup. And no way I could get on board with the WR in the first.
