Suggs will get them back after the order of protection expires. All a woman has to do is file the order and there go your second amendment rights. You do not have to turn your weapons over to authorities, they can be left with a friend or family member.

The problem is even though the system is abused, there are actually instances where something like this might be necessary. Although if someone is hateful and vengeful enough to resort to violence is a piece of paper really going to make a difference?

Family courts and lawyers working these cases do not wish to reconcile family matters. I have heard women are counseled to file a domestic violence protection order to better facilitate a divorce. To file such an order there does not have to be any signs of abuse, at all, only the "perceived fear of abuse".

I can't imagine a person losing the rights to see their children or live in their own home due to someones malicious lies and character assassination. Honestly such action could lead to more domestic issue rather than less.
