The latest word from MLB trade rumors is that as of today, the Reds are in discussions with the Rockies about Dexter Fowler. Apparently Bailey is now off-limits. The bargaining chips will be Mike Leake and possibly Drew Stubbs.
Here's the 2012 stats for Fowler and De Aza: Fowler: .300/.389/.474 with 13 hrs, 53 rbi and 12 stolen bases in 454 at bats. He's a switch-hitting CF that will turn 27 years old in March. Career .271 hitter. De Aza: .281/.349/.410 with 9 hrs, 50 rbi and 26 stolen bases in 524 at bats. He's a left handed CF that will turn 29 in April. Career .280 hitter. Either one would be a major upgrade at the lead off spot. Not sure how good they are defensively, so if anyone knows, fill us in.

Not sure about De Aza. I would go with the cheaper option. Don't want to give up Homer, Cingrani, or Corceno (sp?). I can live without Leake, Stubbs, Heisey, and/or Cozart, just because we have Didi behind him.

If a pitcher goes, it's going to be Leake or Bronson. I don't see it being Bronson and Leake is a pretty good trade chip. Either way a spot has to open up for Chapman this offseason. Bronson will replaced after this year by Corcino or Cingrani anyways.

A bit off topic, but did anyone hear Lance McAllister's interview with Cingrani at Reds Fest? Dude seemed like a bit of a doosh.
