Default Cowboys Defensive Lineup "Incident"

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ensive-lineup/

"Fisher’s Twitter timeline has several entries regarding the subject. The first points out that two Cowboys have had involvement in an “incident” that could impact who makes the trip to Ohio. The second says that the 'incident' could affect the defensive starting lineup."

Interesting.

Could you please put Dalton on a can of Chunky Soup for your next sig.

I want to make sure you prod Karma just a little bit more.

http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2012/...-in-the-middle

http://sportsblogs.star-telegram.com...g-players.html

Great thing is HE'S NOT GONNA PLAY!!!

Brent was arrested for intoxicated manslaughter, he got a DUI in college and was able to rebound but now this incident will surely end his career which is very very sad. But helps Bengals who dey

According to that twitter account Josh Brent, who was expect to start in place of injured NT Ratliff, was arrested for manslaughter. I hope this isn't correct because I'm sick of hearing about Belcher and this will kindle that fire.

Update 1:57 p.m.: According to police, Brent was heading westbound on the 1400 block of the service road of East State Highway 114 at a high rate of speed. His car “hit the outside curb,” flipped over and came to rest in the middle of the road.

Brent was responsive and talking to officers when police arrived, authorities said. Brown, the passenger, was unresponsive and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Brent was given a sobriety test and failed, according to police. He was taken to a hospital where his blood was drawn. He was then taken to the Irving City Jail and booked with a second degree felony charge.

It is not immediately clear what his blood alcohol content was.

Update: Irving police have now confirmed that Josh Brent, nose tackle for the Cowboys, has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Jerry Brown, 25, is the person who died. Brown is listed as a linebacker on the team’s practice squad.

Update: An Irving police dispatcher confirmed that there was a fatality accident on State Highway 114 around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. She said no further information can be released at this point, pending notification of family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in this situation.

That being said, the Bengals have been given another break. Once again it's time to take advantage of that and dominate this game! This is obviously a huge blow to the Cowboys both on the field physically and off the field mentally.

Let's not celebrate this incident as a 'break.' This is good for no one on any level.

Not to mention is the guy really an important part of the D? Ive never heard of the guy until right now.

Edit : Guess he might be since he was replacing an already injured player.

I'm not celebrating this, I'm just stating a fact. This is a big break for the Bengals. This guy was seen as their next NT with Ratliff out and was doing pretty well. Now that he's out it gives the Bengals an obvious advantage in a very important game.

Still, emotional teams can either come up huge or come out flat.

NFL players are getting more irresponsible by the minute.

Except now it's beginning to cause loss of life.

If DUIs were more seriously punished, this stuff wouldn't happen.

This is a sad story. Josh Brent will spend the next 20 years of his life in jail knowing his was responsible for his best friend's death.

I wonder if a bunch of reporters are going to call for the NFL to restrict players from drinking like they did with guns

DUIs are a problem with our society, not with the NFL.

If you didn't realize it until an NFL player died then i pray for you.

This is not great or good. Its sad and should not be celebrated. It was very irresponsible on his behalf and now he is in huge trouble and has to live with killing one of his good friends/ teammates. It disgusts me that some sound excited that this event happened so we have better chances of beating the cowboys.
As for playing again, who knows. Donte Stallworth ran over someone in his car and killed a man. Hes currently playing for Patriots.

There's nothing great about this, sad situation for real, as sallad said it's very irresponsible on his part, but this is still a sad situation, gotta feel for the man's family who's life was taken.

Well, this game got easier.

Too soon?

In all seriousness, terrible news for Brown's family. Just terrible.

We need to be a little classfull here . Two men lost there lives in all this . We should be a little more concerned about the families involved . Who cares about weather this helps our chances ? And if my memory serves me right everyone thought KC was screwed last week and we see how that played out ! Bottom line lets be more respectful . We are not pit fans guys . There is no reason the second the news breaks a man is dead an another in jail we start chearing woo hoo our chances just got better . Kinda pathetic if ya ask me . I could give a rats azz about you neg repping me . So if i offend ya im not sorry becouse if yor are offended then the shoe must fit .

I know it sounds terrible, but I'm glad it seems they were the only ones hurt. I've lost a lot in my life (thankfully no people) to DUIs. The only way this story would be worse is if they took some innocent people with them. Having said that, a life is a life. These were terrible decisions, not terrible people, even though it seems the driver had a previous history with this.

Two weeks in a row a player is dead the day before a game. I wish football were just football.

I will be ashamed if anyone makes a peep during the moment of silence that I assume will be held.

As for the game itself, I don't know their team well enough to know whether this will have a football impact, but it's certainly one of the few ways I DON'T wish for a win.

Hug 'em while you can, folks.

Wow, and Brent had a previous DUI in college.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...st-in-college/
It's **** like this that makes me hate other people.

He should have permanently lost his license 3 years ago.
He was given 2 years probation in June 2009. He gets off probation and 6 months later he kills someone. God only knows how many times he drove while drunk and just wasn't caught.

I hope he stays in prison for the rest of his life.

I don't know if that's true or not, but I'm pretty sure there's a league-wide (or most teams have) a service that will pick players up anonymously. Maybe I'm wrong with that, but it boggles my mind that men continue to drive drunk when they have such wealth, privilege, and access to services regular people simply don't have.
