Very much agree. Think the Bengal's d-line will be crunching Romo all day. Their best bet will be to serve up Demarco Murray in abundance and keep the D conscious of defending the run. If the Bengals get a 2 score lead, the ears get pinned back and things will get ugly.

I have a lot of respect for Jason Whitten. The guy is a "class act", but I don't see how the Cowboys can push this situation aside and play a focused game... Imagine if someone you work with was killed and another co-worker was going to prison for causing it. I don't think I could focus.
A similar situation happened years ago with Drew Pearson. A car accident in which his brother was killed. (I don't think Pearson was DUI though).

In the light of this tragedy, I suppose football games aren't really that important, but if the Cowboys had a distant shot at winning today, I think that shot is now "out the window".

I don't mean to poo poo a sad situation but that whole 'playing for so and so' doesn't really hold water. It's a nice story sometimes but the better team usually wins regardless. I recall the whole Chris Henry situation not being able to put the Bengals over the hump. If the Cowboys win today it will be because they were better prepared and made more plays.

Call me Scrooge, but i don't put too much stock in a player or team 'playing harder' in honor of someone.

The Bengals played one of the most inspiring games of the year against the Chargers after the Henry tragedy. Second only to the emotional game in Baltimore after Zimmer lost his wife. We as Bengals fans should be the first to recognize how tragedy can bring a team together.

Oh, i'm not denying it can bring a team closer. If it helps them put aside petty things that may be hurting them, and causes them to re-focus, great. I just don't agree that it gives a team the 'edge' on gameday. But that's just my opinion.

The bengals lost in SD and ****** down the stretch. But it's a different situation.

I don't put much stock in the idea of a couple of idiots getting drunk and one guy dying and the other one sitting in jail helping a team to win games.
