I know I can still get that, I'm specifically referring to the slightly larger, big sized Super Size.

What I actually really miss is getting a basket of Fries at Mcdonald's for 2.99 with a cup of cheese dip, but only a few Mcdz ever had that and Super Size is more well known.

Cell phones got really big when I was in high school, but I relied on phone usage enough pre-cell phone to remember it I'd say. Before I was in high school, like 8th grade and down, I remember a bunch of better off kids having pagers and rushing to phones to call their parents when they got paged. Does anyone use pagers these days other than drug dealers? Do doctors or firefighters still have them?

I have a love hate relationship with technology but the main thing I miss is not having cell phones. Not because I do not like to use a cell phone but rather it is like everyone thinks that no matter where you are at that have to be able to get a hold of you. I remember a time when people actually left messages other than an insulted "Why did you not answer the phone?" Also, remember when people would answer and actually write down a message if the person was not home. I am sorry but I am not going to answer my phone if I am in the grocery store, movies, a doctor's appointment or out to dinner. My kid's school only uses cell phone numbers. They won't even call the house! However, we will not be able to ever go back to that though, because back then we had pay phones if we were out and needed to call someone.

I honestly miss pagers. You still knew if someone was trying to reach you, but if you didn't want to talk, you could just say you weren't around a phone.

Pagers always seemed so ridiculous to me. I don't know how much it cost to use one per month, but I remember thinking even as a kid if they are able to beam (beam was the word I thought in my head when thinking about it back then) messages to pages why can't they just call a phone u carry directly. Of course it wasn't that much longer afterwards that cell phones got pretty common place. I got my first Nokia brick in '99.

I had a pager in '99 that only cost me (I think) $1.99/month. I just remember it was crazy cheap, probably because the Nokia bricks were getting more common. It came with a free voice mail that I could call and check at any time. I thought that was so cool back then.

I also had a really cool Nokia in '02 that had a clear casing with neon blue lights in it. Phones have come a long way since then as far as features go, but I do miss when you could customize your phone.
