Top 3 draft needs poll

Want to get a vote on what everyone thinks should be our top 3 draft needs.

Post players at the position.


1st RD- Cj Mosley-OLB-Alabama- Mauluga should either be let go or signed and play as a backup for us. I think Burfict will play MLB, Thomas Howard will be back, and we can pickup Mosley in the draft.

2nd RD-Andre Ellington-RB-Clemson- Green Ellis has improved, but i think this offense needs a RB who can hit the holes and out run someone. I would Keep Green Ellis as a backup, & keep Peerman as the #3...Release Bernard Scott cause he can't stay healthy & release Leonard.

2nd RD-Leon McFadden-CB-San Diego State- I think Leon has lost a step or 2, but he's still an above average corner. We are old at CB and need to start rebuilding that area because Kirpatrick can't stay healthy, & i see him as being an average CB who will play and be part of our CB core for the next few years. PacMan is good, Clements is decent, & Terence Newman isn't very good. Release Allen & Release Newman & maybe keep Clements.


Strong safety is a need, but i don't think any Strong Saftey coming out is worth a 1st or 2nd round pick...we can get Swearinger in the 3rd RD & i think he'll be better than any safety coming out..

As it stands right now, re-signings and FA as a non-factor; I went DE, OLB and SS.
Could have easily included MLB and RB.

But when looking at our first round pick specifically, I think OLB, DE and SS are far more likely. Into the 2nd round I think there is a legit shot at a top player at one of those spots and unless we fall in love with someone, I can't see RB in the first 2 rounds right now.

I'd like Bernard in the 2nd but if we can fill other needs and get another RB later on i'm fine with it. I think DE OLB and SS should be our top 3 out of our top 4 picks.

Kind of hard to say with out knowing what will happen in regards to retaining talent. As it stands OT is not a position of need but if Andre is not resigned or tagged the RT spot would be a pretty glaring need.

Rambo has the ability to play SS. He's versatile and basically a ball-hawk.

I'm not much for pass rushing LB in a 4-3, but as much Double A gap they have been running the linebackers are getting ZERO sacks doing it. Sad that most of the Defensive Linemen each have more sacks than the entire LB combined.(LB 3, Peko 2. Geathers 3, Gilberry 4.)

I wouldnt be surprised if they go Linebacker twice in the first 4 rounds.

You're not going to get much pressure from your LBs if you hardly ever blitz them. We rarely do. Our front 4 gets a lot of pressure, and when we do blitz it's usually a DB.

But I have not been very impressed with Manny Lawson this year, and I don't know how ready Thomas Howard will be. I think there is a good chance they draft at least 1 OLB. 2 I'm not so sure.

Actually they are blitzing them and have been alot in the past few weeks using the double A gap. Sometimes both drop back in coverage, but most of the time they rush at least one or both to get one on one matchups for the defensive line, but they never win their matchup.

I agree on OT and my prediction is Andre walks because they franchise tag MJ. Not sure I would personally do that, but that's what I think MB does. It would be nice to just bring them both back.

Lewan should be gone by the time we pick. He is on the edge of the Top 10 and is the #2 tackle in this class. He very likely will go in the top 15.

We'll never get a super bowl win if we can't keep our own good players. Then again Mike Brown has let them go in the past. In my mind you keep the players you draft that are good and draft positions where good players retire or you havent been able to fill successfully. He's one of the better RT's in the league pay the guy. I'd tag him before MJ.

Spikes, Joseph and J. Smith are the only ones who left. He kept everyone else.

This is almost the most clear-cut year for us. In year's past, half the positions could be legitimately argued.

I hope this speaks to our developing roster and continuity.

It hinges entirely on our own FA right now.

I am starting to feel that Andre is not coming back. Just a vibe. Would the front office look at DJ Fluker in the 2nd? Or see if we could get Cannon from the Patriots ideally.
