Every game that Simms announces I complain about how awful he is.

I usually make several rude comments about him too.

This week my wife suggested that the folks we watch the game with take a shot every time I refer to Phil's propensity to perform certain oral favors on Jim Nantz thus causing me to not be able to understand a word he says. I nixed that game because I didn't want to carry everyone out of the building and drive them all home.

I maintain they are no better than NBA refs and get paid to keep games close and seasons interesting.

If this was the case, then why didn't the Chargers o--line (which consisted of 3 - sometimes 4 - back-ups) get called for atleast 1 holding call in the 3rd or 4th quarter (or the whole game for that matter)? I think the refs are just terrible and sometimes get pissy and decide to make a few slanted calls against a team.

Because the Chargers needed the help. And the Steelers loss makes the end of the season games more interesting.

I have the whole conspiracy theory worked out.
