I'll take it. Not sure how much longer Choo is under contract, but it gives Billy Hamilton some time.

Choo is in a contract year.

I like the potential move. Although Choo has only played 83 innings in CF in his career, being in a small park will help. Also, he is a career .381 OBP guy. Instant upgrade to the weakest part of the Reds lineup.

IDK, if I would just trade off the "best SS prospect" (as I read) in a multi player deal for a guy that would likely be playing out of position and only gaining 10% in OBP??

Cozart is plenty good at SS and gives us enough time to draft/trade for another young one.
Didi is not the best SS prospect in all of baseball, but he is apparently the one AZ wants.
We get Choo, who gets OB as you put it 10% more than Stubbs. But in baseball, when you succeed on offense 30% of the time you are considered a very good player.
That 10% is huge. HUGE. It is only a stop gap for Hamilton in CF anyways.

Love it. Choo has speed and some pop. Instant upgrade at the lead off spot.

As for defense, he won't be as good as Stubbs, but he won't be Adam Dunn either.

He's definitely got a great arm. Check out the highlights.

This is definitely a win-now move, as Hamilton will be ready in 1-2 years, but Cozart is just fine at SS, so I'm fine w/ giving up Didi.

Meh. I don't like it. From what I've heard, it would be Stubbs and Gregorius for Choo. Choo has only played 10 games in CF in his entire career. Why? Because he lacks in speed. He has a good arm, and a good bat, but I'm not so stoked about this deal. And doesn't he only have one year left on his contract?

Hopefully the Reds know what they're doing here.

Well, he has some speed. He did steal 21 bases last year.
