A return to something like that with black pants and an alternate orange uniform with the same overall design would be sweet!

I like these Jerseys better than what we have now. I hate the white that goes down the sides of our jerseys.

You're right, In 2005 the Bengals wore it at home against the Browns, but not since then. And i agree, way too long!

And I also like the uniforms before they switched to the ones of today. Wouldn't mind some throwback uniform being added.

yes, the players hated it before, and Joe Reedy pretty much confirmed the players hate them now too so nothing has changed on that, plus it's bad when someone asks Joe Reedy why the players hate it and he says it's pretty self explanatory. It was embarrassing in 2004 when other teams fans on top of the media ridiculed the look, anytime the Bengals wear these in white pants now nobody says a thing because they look just normal and I hope they stay this way until the next significant uniform change and so far so good on the last 7.5 years

back then I was active on one of the yahoo message boards for football and the week the Bengals first wore them there was the criticism and jokes not just from regulars there but fans of other teams I never saw before and I remember there was criticisms and jokes of the colors in cbs and sports illustrated at the time, it was just embarrassing

with Orange on White at least its a darker colored jersey over white pants which is at least traditional or normal across the league where when they wear those now, nobody goes out of their way to mention or joke about them - for example when Tampa Bay wears their creamsicles, everyone notices and recognizes them specifically for it, plus black pants arent very common in the league and personally i dont even like them with white jerseys but when orange and black stands out like that, be prepared for the halloween jokes and clearly that's all the players and coaches heard when they did this before

Obviously we would use orange trim instead of red, and the number styling would be the same between the uniforms (I prefer old, block numbers).

Yes, the orange uniforms are very gag-worthy. They don't do anything for the Bengals or the only other team to wear that color, the 1976-1997 Buccaneers.

My favorite Bengal uniforms are the black-on-black with the tiger stripes in a narrow strip circling the arms and on another strip down the legs. All white with the same tiger stripe strip combination is good, too.

and I said that happened on yahoo's message boards which are wiped out every year so I couldnt cite what went on there anyway, apparently the same thing happens with anything more than 2 years old on the media sites as I specifically tried to pull up 2004 on there and I was lucky to find anything more than 2 years old let alone 8 years

Eh I guess they sort of are correlated. I love the orange on black and my girl practically tells me on a daily basis that I have a horrible sense of fashion

In any case, I agree with you about the orange socks:



Those make it look a little too orange. With black socks, it would look much better.

Unfortunately, it sounds like we never will see that combo again...

Even though since the last time we've worn orange on black, other teams like the Eagles, Jets, Steelers, Broncos, Packers, etc. have worn some of the ugliest throwbacks in existance.

Maybe all of those eyesores would make the orange on black a little more tolerable but hey, what do I know?
