I was looking back at the schedule. We are under .500 at home this year. 3-4 at home and 4-2 on the road.
The one common thread I see with successful teams is that they are almost unbeatable at home. That Dolphins loss still is haunting today. We should have beat Pittsburgh. At some point this franchise needs to institute a dominance at home and basically at worst go 7-1 every year at home. If we don't take care of business at home, this franchise will always be stuck around 8-8,9-7 every year. on the flipside, all signs point to us beating Eagles and Steelers on the road. |

Home games recently haven't been much of an advantage.

You may be right but I gotta blame the players for the home losses. The fans have provided lots of support; just poor play on the players part. Hopefully they turn it around quickly

add coaching to that and i agree 100%...i think we lost the miami game due to the lack of creativity on offense

I disagree about the fans giving support at home games. Maybe the ones who show up but when u can't sell out ur home games u can't say fans are giving them enough support

Poor coaching leads to poor execution.
Although the players certainly deserve some of the blame for the losses, the coaches deserve the majority. |

Yeah, we don't have 12th man that some other stadiums have. I don't know if it because of the stadium's design or the people that attend the games. Perhaps, everybody is too concerned that the person in front of them is standing up and obscuring their view. Or, calling the jerk hotline on their neighbors for yelling too loud.

So you're suggesting we have better home field advantage at away games since we win more of those? ![]() |

No such thing as home field advantage if the crowd stays quiet the whole game. of course they're pumped and loud for the 1st drive....but after that, you can probably hear someone sneeze it's so quiet.
I know it was pretty loud with all the Cowboy fans but the Bengals fans have been pretty depressing to see when I see them on the tv. ![]() |

Winning leads to more and louder fans it's not the other way around. Furthermore, a good team should be able to win in an empty stadium.

Exactly. Build a winner(not a "contender") and the home field advantage will take care of itself.

2012: 3-4 Home 4-2 Away
2011: 4-4 Home 5-3 Away They play better on the road. Hard to get fans in the stands when you **** at home. Maybe if the fans start booing them at home they might play better.

I watched the replay of the Dallas game on NFL Network last night, and I have to disagree here. On last drive the crowd was so loud I could barely hear the announcers talking.

Bengals most likely won't be playing at home during the layoffs, so I'm glad they can win on the road.
But hopefully they can get another win at home. AKA Ravens game

In the Cowboys game, Green dropped two crucial passes. You might get away with one like that against a decent opponent...not two.

Why go to a game when you know your team, that you support with your money by buying concessions, tickets, parking, merchandise and undieing loyalty only to have those you support say, "I don't feel like playing my best today, let's just get through this game, collect our check and go out and get drunk"? |
