He's a good actor. Very understated, which I generally like. Few of you might remember, but he was in "Animal House" and the original "Friday the 13th". I think his best roles were in "A Few Good Men", "JFK", "Apollo 13", "Stir of Echoes" and "Mystic River". That's a pretty impressive list in my book.

I'll name a few that weren't mentioned.

Jeff Bridges: Has been around forever, and does well in many roles

Sean Connery: Yes, I know the accent. But it's iconic. And also he was a good actor despite that. Added bonus in my book

And a very underrated one? Will Ferrell. Yes, comedy guy, but he has done A LOT of different varieties with it.

He's done Austin Powers. Did voices for animated series like King of the Hill, Angry Beavers, and Megamind. I think he had some other things on adult swim, like that one freaky family. Oh, and Family Guy.

But also, moving on to being an actor. Zoolander. Elf. Step Bros. Old School. Tallaedga Nights. Etc.

He is in a comedy genre, but still does A LOT in it.

I'm going with the best actor you've probably never heard of. Ben Foster. He's been in a bunch of movies and you can't place him from one to the other because he's very good at what he does.

but if you've never seen the movie "The Lookout" you should.

Pretty good acting in that movie by him and Jeff Daniels.

I don't think he's the best but deserves a mention...Kevin Costner. Did a couple of good sports movies....Field of Dreams, Tin Cup. Also acted in Wyatt Earp and the short series Hatfield's and McCoys

I like Costner. I don't think he's a great actor but he's been in some good movies. Kurt Russell I think is underrated and about Costner's age. He's been good in pretty much everything and I loved 'Escape from New York'. 'Miracle' is also a vastly underrated sports movie. Dennis Quaid is also really good.

He is great. Master and Commander was awesome. As was Gladiator. Amercan Gangster was also good. He comes off as kind of a pretentious D Bag (as a lot of actors do) but he can act. Have you ever seen 'The Insider'? Great movie and Crowe is undeniably awesome in it. Not sure if he won and oscar for that but he should have.

Its hard to pick 1 actor as there are many types of movies


I would say Brad Pitt dont just can flat out act any role given....
