I am puzzled. BJGE couldn't do squat as the RB and we were ripping him pretty good on here. Now he has 4 -100+ yard games out of five (should have been 5 of 5 - Dallas game).
So what has changed? The Oline looked like crap against Philly and he still got his 100. |

The interior o-line gelled. Remember Zeitler is a rookie and neither Boling nor Robinson has much experience. So they first had to learn to play at a pro level then they had to learn to play together. BJGE is still just mediocre but I think he would do well in a RBBC. I say bring in a guy like Felix Jones next year to compliment BJGE and we might have something.

The Oline struggled defending the pass rush.
But they have really been strong in the run game. Zeitler is showing why we drafted him and Smith is really dominating. Robinson is a very surprising center with good run blocking and Clint Boling is usually a solid guard. They weren't playing well together early in the year. I imagine something clicked over the bye week.

Solid run blocking and **** poor pass protection. Say that 4 times in a row.

Not to be a downer but I give way more credit to the O-Line
MOST backs would produce the same with the push and holes the O-Line has created |

Yes the Oline has been much better, but BJGE is making the first guy miss and even put out a couple of nice stiff arms.

They said before the game that only AP and Charles had more rushing yards than BJGE in the past five games. He's on fire.

And what kind of odds could you have gotten before the season started that Benny would be 5th in the league in runs of 20+ yards? Unfortunately, Pressley was a HUGE part of his success. I give the O-line a lot of credit, but it seemed like every time Benny broke a long one Pressley had a key block. We absolutely HAVE to fill that gole at FB. It was key to our running game. |

He could easily be 5 of 5 if we gave him a few more touches.

Totally correct. Had we done what we should have in the second half against Dallas, and given him about 12 carries instead of five, we would have won the game, and he would have five straight over 100.

Its unvelievable to me sometimes that we pass as much as we do especially with some of the leads we have had over this 5 game stretch.

There's not a RB to ever play the game who was successful without at least a decent OLine. BJGE is making the most of his opportunity here, but I'm sure he'd be the first to credit his OLine.
It's not either/or. It's both/and. |
