Howdy!
Look both Dallas and Pittsburgh played "eh" football for the most part. Dallas caught a break just as the Steelers started to roll a bit. And the INT was a bad pass...not horrible...but behind the receiver bad. But there is no excuse for punting from the Dallas 40 with less than three minutes left. Especially when the D hadn't really stopped the Cowboys all game. They got a good three and out but lost the field position after Dallas punted. That's on Tomlin. As is kneeling with 25 seconds left. Try something...what's the worst that can happen? Exactly what happened anyway in OT.

Not sure a fair catch inside the 1 yard line will ever be trumped.

This is definitely the time to play the Steelers.
They look like they're reeling. their offense played well today (except for the last 2 minutes of the game and the 1 minute in overtime), but their defense allowed Dallas to stick around. That works for the Bengals. Hopefully they keep it up and allow us to sneak into the playoffs, even though we definitely don't deserve it.

Yeah the other 8-6 teams deserve it more, or the 7-7 teams and most definitely the 9-5 teams that are on a roll like Baltimore, deserve it way more. ![]() Are you a closet Steeler fan? ![]() |

I guess all the usual Steeler fans must have taken the night off, to drink themselves to sleep.
Its not every year we get to see both of the traditional bullies of the AFCN fading as the playoffs approach.

Um, no. The Bengals can still lose to Pittsburgh next week then beat the Ravens the following week and still get in provided Cleveland beats the Steelers in the last game. Let's say that happens and say the Ravens beat the Giants next week. That makes Baltimore 10-5, Cincinnati 8-7, and Pittsburgh 8-7 with the Steelers owning the tie-breaker. However, in the last week of the season, if Cincinnati beats Baltimore and Cleveland beats Pittsburgh, then the Ravens finish 10-6, the Bengals 9-7, and the Steelers 8-8. That puts the Bengals in the playoffs over the Steelers.

Technically, no. If the Steelers lose next week to the Bengals, then they are mathmatically eliminated. If the Steelers win, the Bengals would still make the playoffs as a Wildcard if they can beat the Ravens next week and the Steelers lose to the Browns. While a Steeler loss to the Browns is unlikely, the Browns have already beaten them once and the Steelers have lost to numerous other crap teams this year like the Raiders, Titans, and Chargers.

That has to be the worse decision he has ever made. 31 other teams would have probably benched him for the rest of the game for that.
