I'm a big Bell fan. Problem is, since BJGE has come on lately, the team probably won't be looking for a back like Bell. I think what would make Bell a valuable back in the NFL is YAC, receiving skills and pass pro. I don't think the Bengals would do this, but he might make a nice west coast FB. I'm concentrating more on the scat back type of RB from this draft now.

Yes. We either take a 3rd down type, big play guy or we take a complete does it all back.

Problem is I don't think right now, there is one of these in this draft and I don't know how many complete backs exist in college any more. Even T. Rich has not looked that great this year.

We don't need a BJGE clone, as we already have BJGE. And how can you say Barner has no explosion or next gear? He's demonstrated that next gear many times throughout the whole season. The fact that Barner can still go between the tackles when needed makes him a very good RB to pair with BJGE. He has that elite speed with the toughness to play between the tackles when needed.

This makes alot of sense to me. I can't help but remember what Tom Rathman meant to the 49ers offense. Bell might be that kind of guy.
