Actually, if you haven't been there in a while, they've cleaned it up quite a bit. Brand new apartments and condos, and some houses in the 200K+ range...and new stores to boot. Not nearly as ghetto as it once was...

Bragg BLVD is still pretty bad though...

I had this all worked out, but when I found out I was deploying, the girlfriend wasn't feeling it, so she left me. Sad story, but I'm used to it by now.

Good luck. Yeah I get the creepy thing.... however if the girl is smart, then she would be perfectly safe from anything you could possibly do to her. I don't think you will get someone to go with you but you never know. If the girl was smart she might even have the time of her life and meet a new person.
