This entire season....

As you all probably know by now, the remaining playoff picture is now just Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. 1 spot, 2 teams. We beat Pittsburgh, and we clinch a playoff spot in consecutive seasons for the first time in 30 years. Let's take this in for a second.

This is a team that most of us, including myself, had given up hope on after the 4 game losing streak earlier in the season. This team has shown its resilience. How do they follow up that losing skid? They win 4 in a row and 5 out of their last 6 games. I don't even know how to contain my emotions about this team right now, because it's going into week 16 in the season and we hold a playoff spot as this is being written.

I know some of you guys are going to tell me not to get happy until we beat Pittsburgh, but you know what? Forget that! I'm pumped that after I had basically given up on this season that this team fought their way back and control their own destiny. What better way to get into the playoffs than to eliminate Pittsburgh?

All in all, win or lose over these next 2 weeks, it's been a hell of a season and I can only hope that this team gets the job done in Pittsburgh.

Probably because the jets game just eneded. They clinched with a Jets loss. Even if they lose out they hold the tiebreakers over a 9-7 bengals or steelers.

Haha....no. Not at all. Pittsburgh has to win out, and both Baltimore and Indy have to lose out. Indy plays the Chiefs next week......so, they're in.

Yes..I agree but the Jets losing gives us one extra scenario if we lose....we beat Baltimore and then Pitt loses to Cleveland...just in case...

Yea, I think they may have clinched the playoffs cuz in a three way 9-7 tie with the Steelers and Bengals, the Bengals are out due to the worst division record. I'm not sure if the Colts would beat the Steelers out for the fifth seed in that scenario though cuz I'm not sure about their common opponents with the Steelers. If it got to the strength of victory tiebreaker then I would think the Steelers would end up with the fifth seed.

Hmm, that's interesting. I would think that if it was between the Ravens Bengals and Colts, the Bengals would be the odd team out due to division record being as the Colts haven't played either Cincy or Bmore and division record is the second tie breaker in a three way tie for the wildcard. It would be messed up for the Bengals and Ravens to get in for being 1-1 in head to head while the Colts are 0-0 lol....maybe I'm missing something.

look above...6th seed for Bengals if Indy Pitt and Bengals tie at 9-7...something about pints against division opponents tie-breaker

This is what I thought as well....the Colts should be in. If the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers all tie, the division winner is set by division tie-breaking procedures....which would be the Ravens....right? Even if not, the Colts should hold the Conference tie-breaker against the Bengals..

Whatevsies. My brain doesn't feel good anymore. If the Bengals beat the Steelers....the Bengals are in. That's all I care about.

Okay, I see it now. You determine who the fifth seed is, Bmore in that scenario, then it reverts to the two team tie break to determine the sixth seed between the Bengals and Colts, which the Bengals win via strength of victory. Yea, that makes sense. I thought that after the three team tie break rules eliminated one of the three, then the other two were in but yea, that would be messed up actually.

You are getting Conference and Division record mixed up...Division records do not matter when comparing Indy Bengals and Ravens...Conference record does..that means Colts 6-6...Bengals 6-6 ...Balt 8-4 in AFC...then the next tie breaker is used////something about points against and points scored in common games and we win that tie breaker....that mean Pitt wins AFC North us and Baltimore get WC spots
