I love the discussions of Hawkins, Green, how Gresh is gonna play, and Charles' breakout game but lets determine what the difference really is.

It is Andre, Zeitler, Whit, Geno and the front liners. A lot of posters look at fantasy stats and Madden possibilites.

What is comes down to is imposing your will, dominance and making the opponent quit. regardless of what most people feel, it comes down to some one punching some one in the face on the front lines for 60 minutes.

Having said that. Taze vs. Miller, White vs. Woodley, Smith vs Foote on the second level.

Lets talk about punching some in the face and not trick plays

99% agree about all the match ups, except one you forgot. green vs. Lewis.
Steelers secondary is a mess right now and if green, a "top" receiver in this league can't come out and make a statement against these weak DBs then we will be in trouble because the steelers front 8 are the best in football, so running the ball is going to be harder than most think.

He has to make a statement against bracket coverage and the zone blitz. That involves, Jay, Andy Intern Marv and AJ

Yep, this game is gonna be more about coaching and attitude. Everyone knows Pitt is gonna look to take AJ out of the game, Cincy needs to plan accordingly and make a conscious effort to get the other guys involved more often. As far as attitude, Pitt is gonna have the mindset of screw you, you are not coming in our house and winning. Cincy can not go in there playing not to lose. They have to attack and say screw you it time to take this division we don't give a **** if the path leads through your house.

Totally agree. From here until our season ends, hopefully not until we bring home a Super Bowl, we have to play with more focus and tenacity than we've seen since the days of Boomer and Krumrie. We have to want to crush opponents from the opening whistle to the final gun. As you and NC Bengal Mike have said, this is more about kicking *** than it is about finesse.

60 minutes of football. Andy Dalton controlling the ball and keeping his cool, and protecting the blitz. Defense will be fine, alot have changed since our last meeting with this squad.

This game is all about getting to Roethlisberger. Thats it. If we give him time, hes going to rip us apart. Our Dline vs their Oline. Thats the match up to watch. Dalton and the offense need to get back on track, but the difference in the game will come down to our QB pressures. Big Ben is 13-4 against the Bengals. He knows how to beat us. Take him out of the game, and we win big. We let him stick around, were in trouble. I am not saying hurt him, but when you tackle him, make him feel it. Get him uncomfortable.

Of course it all starts up front. We should win in the trenches too. I thought we did that the
last time but in the end we still lost. Have to score TD's and not just kick FG's and we can't
turn the ball over.

Once we are up, step on their necks and don't let them back in the game cause we all know
the refs are going to try to keep them in it.

Well, if we want to discuss what this really is, let's face it ... it's a referendum on the coaches. We're playing better football than Pitt at this point of the season, are much healthier than them and have had three extra days to prepare for the game. With respect to Pittsburgh, we're the better team right now and there's only one reason we lose this game. BengalYankee won't like it (see this thread for context: http://boards.bengals.com/showthread.php?t=105050), but if we lose I'm blaming the coaches.

This is what i have been saying. Hit him 20 times and sack him atleast 3 and we should win.

He is hurt right now too and we are leading the league in sacks. This matches up well for us really.

Yea, even when he gets rid of the ball at the last second to avoid the sack, make sure he feels it. Id be going after his ribs and his bum shoulder every time.

You know it. Just hit the dude as much as possible and i think we win this game.

He just might go out and Batch will come in and we will beat them down bigtime.

I don't see Batch beating us like he did the Ravens, don't see it happening.
