Rob Rang actually has him mocked to us with the 20th pick. Ansah has 57 tackles (13.0 tackles for loss.) He added 4.5 sacks, eight pass breakups and six quarterback hurries. Dude is big and fast. At 6'6", 270 Ziggy was actually a member of the BYU track team and ran a 10.91 100M and a 21.89 200M. The big thing about Ezekiel is his talent has yet to be fully tapped. He grew up playing Soccer and has only played football since his Sophomore year in college.

SDSU, LEON MCFADDEN, CB

Ballhawking CB (8 career INTs, and 37 PDs). Homerun hitter, ran 2 INTs back for TD this year and is experienced in the return game.Kid is an Ironman, has never missed a game due to injury or coaches decision since he arrived on campus. Is often called on to shut down half of the field. We could do worse than taking Leon with our 3rd.

Ansah would be my #1 choice right now for our first rounder.
I had Leon in a previous mock.

Would love both of those guys.
Also for BYU, keep an eye on OLB #3 Kyle Van Noy. Watching Ansah videos, he stands out as well.

I just searched and read that Joseph Addai's family is from Ghana.
I couldn't find any NFL players who were born there.

Should be interesting to see him against SDSU, would have been better if they still had Hillman and Lindley though. SDSU still is a run first team and utilizes RB's in the passing game, so it will still let him showcase his abilities.

I watched 5 or 6 cut ups of BYU games to focus on Ansah.
He reads the run well (struggles on the draw and gets suckered up field vs them) and I was incredibly surprised at how well he reads the screen.

Wow it would be nice to have a LB that could do that on a consistent basis.

This game is painful to watch, but I'm gonna try to struggle through. It appears anyone that spends a 1st rounder on Ziggy is doing so purely on potential and high motor; not sure I'm sold. BYU is staying away from McFadden's side, so we can;t even see what he's about. Too bad I'd hoped this game would showcase a couple interesting prospects.

I agree. A first is a steep price for potential. I would be perfectly fine spending a 2 on Ansah, but for a 1 it's asking a lot. Now to be fair though he is being used mostly as 3-4 DE so it is hard to really stand out in that role though.
