sounds like he stepped in a hole or something and injured his knee. If Lewis cant go than the Steelers might be in serious trouble at CB.

They were in serious trouble at cornerback before Lewis got hurt.

Lewis was said to be Aj Greens shadow on Sunday

More bad new for the Steelers ahead of what is also their biggest game of the season. I don't think Lewis could cover A.J. anyway, but this compounds their problems. If the Bengals can stop Ben, they should be able to overcome the Steeler injured-but-still-always-solid defense.

WOW! I have been watching the injury reports like a hawk and I stup out for a bit and this happens!
Ok, just to recap: Starting CB Ike Taylor out CB Keenan Lewis out CB DeAndre Van **** placed on IR Remaining guys are Cortez Allen, 2 UDFAs, one late round draft pick, and a guy signed yesterday off the street Still I always remember the "Zeier Effect" where we make even scrubs look like gods If the Steelers beat us, they deserve every ounce of respect for overcoming so many obstacles. |

He injured his hip last game and missed the entire game. Now he injures his knee? Source?

Yup, you are right. Good find. This is actually quite significant. Steelers without Taylor AND Lewis, their top 2 CBs. Both were going to cover Green. Who will now most likely be covered by Cortez Allen, who had missed the last game due to a hip flexor.

Dear People Who Make These Decisions,
I have no problem with every single play being a pass at AJ Green. I won't feel cheated or anything. I'm sure the other players will be cool with it if we get the win. Just...you know. Pass it to him. Not behind him, but *to* him. If he ends the day with 35 catches, 400 yards and 5 TDs, that's just fine.

That was a funny joke back when Bratkowski was calling the plays the way Marvin told him to and took run-first to the extreme, but, seeing as how Gruden called three passes against the Cowboys with a bit over two minutes left when running the ball would have likel run the game, Marvin obviously doesn't have much influence over the in-game play calling, which makes your joke stupid.

The Steelers were without Polamalu, Mendenhall, Redman, Pouncey and Gilbert last time.

It doesn't matter who their CBs are. If Dalton predetermines who to throw to pre snap and eyeballs his receiver Polamalu will own him all day long. Pump fakes and look offs just like how that Cousins rookie did so well will be key to having a successful pass game. Andy needs to trust his guys and know where they are supposed to be.

Green can do the job. That's about it at this point.

It doesn't matter who they have at corner. They're going to get away with a multitude of holds because they're the stillers and they make more money for the NFL than any other team. Watch it happen.

"Lewis had said earlier in the day that he was definitely going to play Sunday, but that talk with the media was prior to practice."
